★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Buyers beware do not buy saltwater fish from them at all. It’s like being In a casino where the house always winsWhen they pulled the fish from the fish tank and put it in the bag for me to take home, it was flat, and I was told that the fish was stressed and will be fine. Not to worry the minute I got home and took.Out of the bag, it was still flat on its side, took time to call them and let them know, and they told me not to worry. The fish is stressed again, not to worry, add it to your tank and called them in one hour If the fish is still not doing well, the fish died within the hour. They take no responsibility! To end this review my trip to the casino was a lost of money………………..!!!
April 09 · Styling In NycI've been going to this store for a couple of months, and first off they have a lot of variety of items. They have a good selection of dog/cat toys and food, fish tanks and equipment, and other vivariums and reptile stuff.I mainly come here for their fish department though, and it's cool to see all new fish they have stocked. I've bought neon tetras, galaxy raspboras, a few different species of cory catfish, a dwarf sucker fish, and cherry shrimp from this store. I've also bought most of my aquarium stuff here including an auto fish feeder, an air pump, a 5g tank, and multiple plants for my tanks. Almost all the fish I've bought here have survived the shock of traveling, and are still happy and healthy today.I have never participated, but I also know that this location does puppy training/behavior classes that you can sign up for which I thought was cool.Every time I come here though the staff is always really nice and helpful. They're also pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the fish, but please do your research before coming here to buy a fish. That being said, I don't think I've ran into a single employee here that was rude. I love this store!
November 01 · Christian TipaI was treated very poorly at your store. I went in as I normally do. 3 employees were at the registers and no one acknowledged me for the pick-up. So I walked through the store looking for another employee and there were none. So I came back to the front and finally caught the attention of the girl behind the register and said I have a pick-up. She told me to "sign in" on line and they will get to me. Or I could wait on the check-out line until I was "next". I told her that I order and pay online so I do not have to wait in any check-out lines. I picked up my item over her yelling at me that I was not allowed to touch it, that I needed to wait. I told her I have already paid for this and I am taking MY property. She said if I leave the store she will call the police. Then a young man who was in the office came out and told me that I needed ID to take MY already paid for property. I showed him my credit card with my name on it (matching the order) and he said that was not sufficient, that I needed a driver's license of passport. So I showed him my driver's license and left. This is TERRIBLE customer service and completely unprofessional employees. If another store have this same product Petco would lose a customer.
July 22 · Eliot SashI want to open this review by stating that arriving after the store's closing hours was a complete error on my behalf. With that said, the unprofessional and callous treatment that I received from the female manager on the date of 4/13/25 was appalling. After arriving no more than a few minutes after the store's closing, I was waived down by an employee, who indicated that the store was closed. I kindly asked the employee if it was possible to pay cash for a transaction and then have the store ring it up the following day when business resumed. He told me that the only person who could authorize this would be the manager, who was counting the tills for the day. He retrieved the manager, who coldly informed me there was nothing that she could do and offered a variety of excuses, including that I was not permitted to enter the store. I had no desire to enter the store and would've happily allowed any of the staff to retrieve the single bag of dog food that I needed. This woman showed no compassion, decorum or professionalism. I would think that employees of a pet store would be eager to ensure that an animal's well-being was prioritized, but this unfriendly and unpleasant woman did not seem to care at all and was much more interested in closing down the store. I completely understand that we all have a job to do, but it is also important to show compassion when the opportunity is presented. Not only was the interaction that I had with this woman devoid of compassion, but she also completely lacked courtesy and apparently couldn't care less about the dilemma I faced. I have spent thousands at this location over the past 4 years, and though this is no way warrants me receiving special treatment, this incident has me re-thinking ever patronizing this place again. I am determined to escalate this to the highest corporate level and will be returning to the location for executive contact information at my soonest convenience.
April 16 · Jerell RollinsSmall (like, very small! Super narrow aisles) but convenient for the time of night I needed cat food.In its own parking lot near the diner. It was a quick in and out for me. The cashier seemed normal. Notable because that’s a lot to ask for these days.
