★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been bringing my French Bulldog here since 2022 for environmental allergy treatment, including biweekly immunotherapy shots. Until now, I’ve always had good experiences with the doctors, nurses, and front desk. My recent visit, however, was a complete nightmare because of the receptionist, Rubye K.Her attitude was shockingly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, as if she was doing me a favor just by speaking to me. I came to pick up my dog’s $231+ half vial, which must be kept refrigerated. In the past, they always provided an ice pack, especially since I drive from Santa Monica and don’t go straight home. This time, Rubye and her colleague claimed they have “never given ice packs.” I felt completely gaslit because that is simply untrue after more than three years as a client. When I explained that the weather was almost 80°F and I needed to keep the vial cold, she stomped off, came back with an overly frozen ice pack in a paper bag, tossed it at me, and told me not to freeze the vial or I’d need to buy a new one. No courtesy, no problem-solving, just attitude. There was also an issue with my order on their side. I had already spoken to their lab technician, Jaime, who agreed I would receive a credit for my next order. Rubye repeatedly said, “There is no Jaime working here” and acted like she was disgusted that I even brought it up. When I continued to request written confirmation of the credit, she acted as though I was asking for something outrageous and kept refusing to help. Thankfully, her colleague eventually stepped in and resolved it in seconds. To top it off, when I handed Rubye my parking ticket for validation, she literally snatched it from me and tossed it back.I’ve spent thousands of dollars at this clinic and expect at least basic respect and professionalism. A couple of rude staff can ruin the entire experience, and unfortunately, that is exactly what happened. The doctors here are fine, but after years of treatment, my dog’s allergies have not improved much. The only time he truly did well was under Dr. Wayne Rosenkrantz from the Tustin clinic, who is an excellent doctor but too far for us. After this incident, I am seriously considering switching providers.
August 07 · Mile RescalaLast Monday spoke w wiley in marina del Rey ofc said appt at Torrance ofc will be scheduledHeather and Natalie answer phone. Natalie made june 16 appt. Very unhelpful w costs. Offended that I even SSKED HOW MUCH EVERYTHING MAY BE!!!$175 for exam plus 75 for most labs upto 3 per exam plus meds Another $300Get there EARLY. But sat waiting 1 hour. Then another hour in exam room. I came out a few times asking if we have been forgotten. I think the woman behind desk NATALIE- said WE WILL HAVE TO LOCK YOU IN THAT EXAM ROOM! DID YOU LEAVE YOUR DOG UNSUPERVISED?! ( in the closed up exam room).Dr Kirby - female comes in- I ask- was there a near death emergency going on? Is everyone ok? She looked perplexed. I stated- well you are TWO HOURS LATE for my appointment. If it were the other way around YOU WOULD CHARGE ME FOR YOUR TIME AND RESTRICT ME FROM COMING HERE AGAIN!Well Either Dr Kirby is always incompetent or I set her off to be discriminating against my dog because of my initial complaint. So she IS BIASED and must treat her gently She is very sensitive to any valid criticism. No help. Just pay for tests and do a 24 hr test where my dog cannot eat anything?! $500. The allergy serum would be $500 each use every month.I asked can’t we due process of elimination. Dr Kirby Never heard of it! ( turned out - remove CHICKEN FROM DIET SOLVED PROBLEM! And there is a topical antifungal mousse sold at GOOD VET OFFICES that helped the skin sores heal in 3 days!)Also dr Kirby NEVER prescribed antibiotic and antifungal for my dog’s OPEN INFECTED SORES ALL OVER!!!She Said go back to my regular dr for that!Useless and cruel to animals. Waste of your precious time and $$$My dog was in pain and this place made it worse! Cruelty is the point!
June 23 · Lady MermaidI'm writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience I had while trying to bring my dog in for a scheduled appointment.I specifically requested an appointment at your Torrance location, and believed it was confirmed as such. Upon arriving and finding the clinic closed, I called and spoke with a receptionist named Ruby. I was surprised to learn that my appointment was actually scheduled at your Marina Del Rey location. I explained that I had asked for Torrance.I was then told that this would count as my "first failed attempt" to be seen. When I expressed concern about this being counted against me due to no fault of my own, Ruby stated that I had confirmed the appointment via a message that, according to her, included the correct address. I reviewed the text I received, and it did not clearly note the location. I read this back to her, but was still told the no-show policy applied. While I understand the importance of the doctor's time, I believe it's equally important for the clinic to take accountability when an error is made on your end. This experience has left me unsure about continuing care with your clinic, as I value clear communication, accountability, and compassion--especially when it comes to my pet's health.I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve the patient experience in the future.
June 20 · Barbra PequenoHad a great experience. Sofi was treated very nice by all of the staff ❤️ Hbot therapy was great for her. Great communication . Thank you 😊 for helping Sofi heal with love and care .
May 05 · Joan DomínguezMy recent experience with this clinic hasn’t been good. I felt judged by both the doctor and the nurse. We started allergen shots for my dog per the vet’s recommendation nine months ago. Each month, I brought my dog in for a Cytopoint injection, and no one ever mentioned that the treatment might not be working properly.Around the six-month mark, I asked how I would know if the treatment was working, since my dog’s skin was still pink all over. They told me it could take more than six months for the shots to take effect, so I continued with both the allergen shots and Cytopoint injections. At nine months, I called again with the same question, and this time I was told it had been too long and that I should have brought him in for a second evaluation. When I finally did bring him in, the doctor blamed me for not coming sooner. Apparently, my dog needed more than just a monthly Cytopoint shot—but honestly, how was I supposed to know that? Shouldn’t they have told me to schedule a follow-up visit after a couple of months to reevaluate his condition? They’re the experts, and when I was bringing him in monthly, someone should have noticed his skin and advised a reassessment. On top of that, this clinic is extremely expensive. Every time I go, they try to charge me over $1,000. The allergen vial alone costs over $400, not including supplies. I explained that I simply can’t afford to spend that much on my dog, and when I said that, both the doctor and nurse gave me judgmental looks. To be honest, I’m very disappointed with this place.
