When it comes to choosing a veterinary care provider, Northridge Pet Hospital presents a complex picture, and the decision is a deeply personal one for California pet owners. The provided reviews, which are extremely negative, are a critical part of the available information and must be addressed. One review alleges that a dog died during a routine dental procedure and that the staff, including the vet and manager, refused to speak to the grieving owner for over two hours. The reviewer also claims they were charged for the procedure and cremation, with the clinic's primary concern appearing to be financial. Another review from a bystander who witnessed the event supports this account, describing the staff's behavior as "heartless" and "disgusting," with "zero accountability" and a complete lack of empathy for the grieving owner. These testimonials paint a picture of a clinic with a shocking lack of compassion and professional accountability in a moment of extreme trauma.
However, it is important to note that these are individual accounts, and a complete assessment requires a balanced view. From a purely factual standpoint, Northridge Pet Hospital does offer a wide range of services and amenities that would, on the surface, make it a convenient choice. The extensive list of services, from routine care to specialized procedures for various animals, suggests a high level of capability. The commitment to accessibility and an inclusive environment is also a positive feature that would appeal to many clients. The fact that the clinic has a dedicated phone number and a physical address in a well-populated area of Los Angeles indicates a professional and established presence in the community. Ultimately, what is worth choosing is a matter of trust. While the services and accessibility might be a draw, the reviews raise profound questions about the clinic's standard of care and, more importantly, its empathy and communication with clients. For a pet owner, the decision to entrust their beloved animal to a professional comes down to more than just the list of services; it is a matter of trust, compassion, and a feeling that both you and your pet are in caring, competent hands. The provided reviews suggest that this is a significant area of concern for this establishment, and for that reason, a potential client would need to weigh these serious accounts very carefully against the list of offered services before making a final decision.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Do not bring your pets here. My sweet dog died under the care of vet Williams during a normally safe dental procedure, and the vet and manager refused to come out and speak with me after. My sister and I waited for 2 HOURS to speak to Williams and a manager and no one ever came out. This horrible bedside manner made a traumatic experience even more traumatic. They do not care about you or your animals here - they treated my dog like she was a rag doll and had nothing to say to me after. (And yes they did charge me for the procedure and then tried to get me to pay for the cremation. That was their main concern - making money after their negligence.)
August 19 · Samantha MarmetAVOID THIS CLINIC- I don’t usually leave reviews, I Witnessed the Most Heartless Behavior I’ve Ever Seen at a VetI was in the waiting room when a young woman lost her dog due to the cause of the vets negligence. The way the staff handled the situation was absolutely disgusting. Not a single one of them showed empathy. They acted like she was a problem, not a grieving pet owner whose dog had just died under their care. No comfort, no apology, no explanation — just blank stares, awkward shuffling, and zero accountability. She asked to speak to the vet who operated on her dog and was completely brushed off. The vet refused to come out and say a word. I watched her cry in that lobby while the staff looked the other way like it was an inconvenience. This place is cold, careless, and completely devoid of compassion. If they can’t even show basic human decency in a moment like that, what makes you think they’ll treat your pet with care behind closed doors? There is something deeply wrong with how this clinic is run. I didn’t even have an appointment — I walked out and took my pet elsewhere because I could not, in good conscience, let these people touch him after what I saw.DO NOT bring your animal here. They don’t deserve your trust, your money, or access to anyone’s beloved pet.
July 24 · Damien PhoenixThis family-run clinic was recommended to me by a friend and fellow cat mom. Turns out my aunt used bring her animals here twenty years ago! My spicy senior cat who suffers from hyperthyroidism and kidney disease has received excellent care from Dr. Williams and the team. Prices are competitive for the area and there is no “upselling” of extraneous products or tests. The staff and team are longtime employees and I trust them wholeheartedly.
May 30 · Kristen ParksI trust this vet explicitly with my dog and my cats. They are SO caring and kind. They take their time to explain everything and give you a detailed breakdown of costs so that you can make the best choice for your pet that also fits into your budget. Every person that works there is an absolute gem!!
May 30 · AAmazing care and customer service. Prices are beyond reasonable. I take both my senior dog and cat here. Couldn't recommend enough!
