★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Can’t say enough about this place! We’ve had 5 of our dogs taken care at this facility and they’ve gone above and beyond for us. We even had one of our pups diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease that they caught early in his life. He would have lasted 6 months and he’s now 7yrs old under their care. The doctors, staff and owner are all amazing!!! Thank you RIAMC! ❤️
March 24 · Lisa SouzaI am so grateful we have such an amazing veterinarian team so close to home! Our dog, Chloe, has been going here for the past 8 years. Every doctor and technician that we have seen has really taken the time to make her feel comfortable during check ups and are always thorough in explaining the cost of testing/medication as needed. My dog was attacked a couple of years ago by another dog and they stayed open late to make sure she was okay and could come home that night. I highly recommend Rhode Island Animal Medical Center.
March 25 · Katherine BlackburnAfter years of bringing my dogs here I decided to board one of them while on vacation. Before boarding I spoke with the kennel manager who assured me that my dog would be in great care. As I know my dog is anxious and told them to call if anything needs to be done to calm her. I boarded her for eight days. Mind you I received no phone calls of her anxious behavior or the fact that she was so anxious she made herself bleed and broke a canine. I asked why nothing was done..they told me her behavior didn’t warrant any concern. I don’t know how a broken tooth, swollen face and blood nose isn’t a concern. Their lack of compassion and information took me back. I never had a problem here but getting my senior dog back after their care in the condition she was in says all I need to know about the incompetent employees here. No one even noticed her tooth. They also couldn’t get the story straight. One employee said day one she chewed on her cage so they moved her to another area and an other said day 4 they moved her. Someone else told me her kennel nose happened the morning I picked her up (day 8) while some else told me it was days prior. They tried putting the blame on me after I had talked to the kennel manager a month prior and expressed she was an anxious dog. So they let her suffer for 8 days and I was told she should have been sent with something. She was under their care and not one person reached out to offer anything to calm her down and make her comfortable. Now her nose is raw, her face is swollen and her canine is broke. I would highly suggest finding else where to board your animal. They do not care and when something happens they deny and point fingers. Integrity and honesty is important to me so if it’s important to you do not trust this kennel to board your animals. Almost 1000 bucks (after shots and tests I needed to get to board her plus boarding fees) later for her to get the worst care.
August 04 · RebeccaUpdate: So MK needed a visit. The great experience I've had with the Vet has faded. Really not happy about the way this has gone. All I am trying to do is take care of my cat. Now I know nothing of cost for Vets and procedures. I expect the Vet to inform me. Now I was informed and didn't pull prices out of no where. MK has a serious situation with her tooth and don't want to risk. Leaving her tooth to go septic and her potentially pass. Now I call, ready to schedule an appointment and pay money upfront to secure her appointment. Then find out the prices that I know weren't put in her file. Suggestions offered that didn't help. I appreciated it but due to residency it wouldn't be possible. Have to wait till Monday now for someone to explain or give the quote. I don't know what's happened but I feel like the ball has been dropped. I just want to know my cat is going to be alright. I have my fingers crossed that they will figure out what happened and take care of Mommz. Like they've done every other time she has been seen there. She doesn't mind her Vet visits and I'd say she likes going there.🙏Will update on Monday.
