Dr. Levy, Dr. Lester, Dr. Logan, and all the techs and staff at Salt Ponds are incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and caring. They always present all the facts and options in a way that's easy to understand. Over the last few months, they have provided excellent care to our dog who was suffering from heart disease. We ultimately had to make the decision to say goodbye this week, and Dr. Logan and the techs made this most difficult moment as peaceful as possible for both our pup and us.We are grateful to have our pets under such wonderful care right here in Westerly.

Grateful for Their Quick Help in a Time of Crisis.When our Jack Russell Terrier had a sudden and severe allergic reaction vomiting, full-body hives, and alarming facial swelling and we were in a complete panic. Our regular vet was closed, and we began calling around desperately to find help. Out of all the animal hospitals we contacted, Salt Pond Animal Hospital was the only one that picked up the phone. Even though they were closed at the time, they took the time to listen to our situation with care and urgency. They immediately recommended a new urgent care facility in Narragansett that was open and accepting walk-ins, which turned out to be exactly what we needed. Their willingness to answer the call and point us in the right direction made all the difference. Without their help, we might have lost even more precious time trying to find somewhere open. Thanks to their guidance, our dog received the immediate treatment he needed and is now back to feeling like himself.We are incredibly grateful to Salt Pond Animal Hospital for being there for us when we needed someone most. They weren’t just helpful but they were a lifeline.

I spend my summers in Westerly and during my time here, my little furry bundle of love Kooka popped up with a swollen ankle of unknown cause. Salt Ponds Animal Hospital was able to get him in the same week— they were not only affordable but extremely helpful, compassionate, kind and caring; I was truly impressed. They were able to do a full exam (which rarely happens with Kooks) and even clipped his nails! We left with recommendations for some joint supplements to assist in his overall wellbeing. I’m super grateful to the team here for making our visit easy and enjoyable.

So clean and friendly! Brought in my two cats after moving into town and the appointment was quick but thorough. Brittney Klinker read my notes and already knew all about my cats current condition and the medicine she was taking. I know that's information I provided when coming in as a new patient but it's refreshing knowing the doctors are reading the notes before I come in.

I just want to share an experience I recently had at Salt Ponds animal hospital. My dog was a patient there for over 4 years and overall had a great experience, until I had to say goodbye to my baby. My dog recently got diagnosed with cancer, despite a few weeks prior getting diagnosed with Lyme Disease by Salt Pond. Regardless, it caught up with her and it came to the point where I had to make the decision a pet parent never wants to make. That morning, I called to make the appointment to put her down and at the time they confirmed, she was actively sick with CANCER. She was labeled “difficult” and treated different from that moment on. While she was actively sedated by her cancer, I was made aware that she needed to be medically sedated. As upset as I was, I agreed as I just wanted to get one of the worst days of my life over. They took her back, gave her the drugs and we had to sit there and wait for OVER TWO HOURS. I sat there sobbing while my dog was sedated as could be, struggling, as I’m being asked about the payment. After being there for over THREE HOURS, she was given some peace. Regardless, I’m disgusted, infuriated and devastated at what this agency did to me and my dog. She didn’t deserve this. I didn’t deserve this. And others need to know before they make the decision to bring their pet there.
