---When you're searching for a veterinarian in California, especially in the Temecula area, you'll find that Vail Ranch Veterinary Hospital is a compelling choice for several reasons. One of the most significant factors is their dedication to compassionate and comprehensive care. The positive feedback from many pet owners highlights the genuine kindness and expertise of the staff and doctors, which can make a world of difference during a stressful vet visit.
Clients frequently mention the hospital's ability to provide a calm and reassuring environment. This "fear-free" approach is especially important for animals that get anxious at the vet. The team takes the time to build a rapport with each pet, often using gentle handling and treats to make the experience more positive. This is more than a simple transaction; it's about building trust and a lasting relationship with the client and their animal.
Furthermore, the hospital's broad range of services means you can receive most of the care your pet needs under one roof. The presence of a fully stocked pharmacy also ensures that you can get your pet's prescriptions filled right away, allowing for a seamless transition from diagnosis to treatment.
The hospital's commitment to preventative medicine is another standout feature. They believe in the power of regular check-ups, proper nutrition, and parasite prevention to keep your pet healthy in the long run. By focusing on wellness, they aim to catch potential issues early, which can lead to better outcomes and, often, lower costs for the pet owner over time. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Although the front office staff were friendly, I’m very disappointed in the overall experience—particularly with the doctor and a few other issues.I made an appointment a week in advance to get my pup vaccinated, but when I arrived, they couldn’t find me in the system. While mistakes happen, and that didn’t bother me too much, the facility itself also seemed like it could use a bit more attention when it comes to cleanliness. Still, I tried to overlook those things. What did bother me was the wait time. My appointment was at 11:00 AM, and I wasn’t seen or out of there until nearly 1:00 PM. That’s an excessive wait, especially for something as quick as routine shots. The front desk even mentioned they might have confused me with another 11:00 AM appointment who didn’t show—which means I should’ve been seen on time. The most frustrating part, however, was the interaction with the doctor. I didn’t catch his name, but I believe he may have been of Indian descent. He was dismissive and made it seem like I was lying about having an appointment. That’s not only unprofessional, but also offensive. I'm not sure why anyone would fabricate a vet appointment—I simply wanted to get proper care for my pet.Veterinarians should help you feel welcome and reassured, not questioned or uncomfortable. Sadly, that was not the case here. I will not be returning and will be taking my pup elsewhere for future care.
August 05 · Jasmine SmithWe love this place! Dr. Gill is very knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful vet. We have been taking our cat here for a few years now, and it's been wonderful. The staff is friendly, helpful, and really care for the animals that they serve. We wouldn't go anywhere else!
June 14 · MeganDr Gill has been our 12 year old Whippet Sheldon's Dr since he was 4 months old. He's had 5 surgeries, over 100 stitches and a completely restructured ACL, all at Vail Ranch Veterinary Hospital performed by Dr Gill and Dr Sing. This evening SATURDAY 6/21/2025 after several text messages and a few phone calls Dr Gill met me and my family at the Hospital to put Sheldon down. It was a devastating time since I lost my Dad the day before.Dr Gill's bedside manner and professionalism made the process much more bearable and human. He and the Staff have taken care of Sheldon for almost 12 years and he loves them very much. I highly recommend Dr Gill & his Team.Thank You Dr Gill and your entire staff at Vail Ranch Veterinary Hospital for always being there for Ole Shel. He loved you all very much❤️
June 21 · Ric EtheridgeThis vet and the entire staff came highly recommended from many people in our community. We are so happy we chose to take our nearly 17 year old baby to them. They took such good care of him. We would highly recommend this place and the doctors and staff.
January 12 · Gregg TaftI'm surprised to hear that I'm not the only one who got kicked out.I'm not sure if the doctors are aware of this, but I called to get rabbi shots for my cat. I had asked what I should expect for the cost just to get an idea because the last time I was there I was changed $800 to have my cat looked at, which ended up being nothing wrong. (no complains, I paid it) The specialist put me on hold and then came back and said, "based on our records, we are not going to see you because you did not seem happy with what we charged you the last time" I'm like, excuse me?I'm not sure what they are talking about because when I questioned them two years ago, the conversation was good and the girl was friendly and explained how payments are billed, so I learned something. Secondly, I paid my bill promptly as I always do with my bills and I've even said good things about this doctor. If I had an issue, why would I even call them?So They refuse to take me because I questioned them about my bill two years ago. So I basically told them that "if you want to treat me this way, I'll just leave some reviews." I was upset and my tone was not kind at this point because I did not see what the issues was. When i called back to talk to a manager, she had a pompous tone like they didn't really care and the manager said, "please don't call back because my employees feel like they are being threatened" Threatened because I said I was going to leave some bad reviews? They called the psychic sheriff's department on me. I've NEVER been in trouble with the law, not even one record over the last 50 years. So what ever they want to say, these people are nuts. The officer didn't even bother to call me back because he probably thinks the report was absurd.I'm glad I did not bring my cat to them. Their phone recording is telling people, because of COVID 19 to wait out in the car and that they recommend people wear a mask to come into the office. What year is it? 2025My sister has just dropped them also. Based on all the positive reviews, I can't help but believe these are friends and family members leaving fake reviews. No big deal, there are plenty of other places that will put my cat's health first and be glad to except my money.
