After going through all 4 bags of crickets I found 1 bag was short 2 crickets, 1 bag had 2 dead crickets, and 1 bag was missing 1 cricket, for a total of 5 crickets less than what I paid for. Funny they didn’t have a problem shorting me but had an issue giving me a single small cricket 🫠Giving 3 stars even though I had a 1 star experience… I’ve been to this store many times, as I have tons of pets and spend over $100 at this company every single week. I usually like this location and tend to see the same employees who recognize me and are very friendly. Today however, the two employees working I did not recognize. I was told I could not get a single small cricket for my jumping spider even though I quite literally have been getting this every single week for over a year… he told me I could only get 6 or more, which is ridiculous because no jumping spider is going to eat 6 crickets (I even told him this). I also had ordered 8 dozen large crickets for my other reptiles so like, what’s the big deal? Now my spider I guess has to starve for a week since this man (apparently the assistant manager) couldn’t use his brain to give me a single cricket… I was a manager at Pet Supermarket and I’ve NEVER heard of an employee refusing to sell smaller amounts of crickets before… like how stupid. I ended up not getting my usual bout of supplies because I didn’t feel like giving him more of my money and am going to buy the rest of my supplies at Petsmart. Additionally, he did not offer for me to use my $5 rewards when I know for a fact that I have it. This is a basic thing that every employee is supposed to ask the customers so the assistant manager failing to do this is just sad.

If the buyer did not understand, the staff would happily advise the buyer, but the way the staff was unhappy and seemed arrogant to the customer was the most impolite. The first time I went shopping, this male staff treated me badly and I will never come back.
