So, why is Pet Supermarket worth choosing? This local Greenville business stands out for several key reasons that cater directly to the needs of South Carolina pet owners. First and foremost is the extensive range of products. As noted in customer reviews, they offer a wider selection of specialized items, like bird supplies, which can be hard to find at other local pet stores. This ensures that even owners of less common pets can find the specific food, toys, and accessories they need. The store’s commitment to providing a large and varied inventory makes it a true one-stop shop, saving you time and the hassle of visiting multiple locations.
Another major factor is the convenience and accessibility of the store. The self-serve dog wash is a fantastic amenity that many pet owners can benefit from, offering a clean and stress-free way to groom your dog. This service alone is a major draw for many in the community. Furthermore, the store's dedication to accessibility, with a wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot, makes it a welcoming place for everyone. The multiple payment options, including modern NFC mobile payments, add another layer of convenience that shows the business is keeping up with the needs of its customers.
Perhaps the most compelling reason to choose Pet Supermarket is the quality of its staff. The helpful and friendly team members are often highlighted in customer feedback for their knowledge and willingness to assist. They are more than just cashiers; they are pet enthusiasts who can offer valuable advice and guidance. While some feedback points to potential issues with inventory accuracy or communication, it's clear that the staff on-site are dedicated to helping customers. The reviews about successfully adopting a healthy pet from the store and the positive comments about the staff’s expertise with bird supplies speak volumes about their commitment to animal welfare and customer service. Choosing Pet Supermarket means supporting a business that values its local community and the well-being of its pets. It’s a place where you can feel confident that you’re getting quality products and receiving genuine, expert help.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I just adopted this healthy girl a few days ago. She's taken to her new home very well and is already a love bug! 💚They have a large selection of bird supplies unlike other local pet stores and the staff is friendly and helpful.
March 01 · Anna InmanThis is the second chance we’ve given this store. The first time they were closed when they should have been open with no sign posted on the door that they were closing early. That’s fine, inconvenient but fine. I drove to the other location and got what I needed. This time. I send my husband to get baby brine shrimp. They want to tell him they don’t have it and don’t carry frozen fish food plus what he showed them wasn’t at their store. I’m not an idiot. I checked the correct location which said it was IN STOCK, just because the screenshot I happened to send him to help him get the correct product isn’t your location doesn’t me I didn’t check. If y’all don’t carry frozen fish food then you need to contact who ever does the website and FIX IT! Don’t try to make your customers feel like idiots because we are going off what your company has on the website. Pictures to show that it does in fact say THIS particular store does carry this item and it is in stock.
April 27 · Amanda StoneOh my goodness!! If you know me you know I’m pretty easy to get along with and try to treat others the way I want to be treated. I have always loved Pet Supermarket to buy out pets’ food, supplies, and I love their self bath. HOWEVER, I will never again go to the Pet Supermarket on Pleasantburg. I was headed to the one on Pelham and called to see if their bath was still open, but it was broken. So I called the nearest one which was on Pleasantburg and asked about theirs. The nice man said they were open til 7 as long as I was done by then. Then since I wanted to hurry and get there I asked if they had a restroom because I had 3 little boys that needed to go! The man assured me they do. The boys went in with the dog I brought and asked for the restroom and the man said they couldn’t go alone and then said they didn’t have a public restroom. We have actually used the one there often since we have kids. So I had followed them in and figured they didn’t see me and didn’t want them to go alone. I took them in and as one boy was going out the door and I was still in With another one, the women yelled at the kids and said,”I told you we don’t have a public restroom!” I came out and told her we’ve always used it there and they were labeled “MEN” and “WOMEN”. She rudely said, “this is not a restaurant and I don’t have to let you use my bathroom!” I told her I’ve never been in as a customer and been fussed at for using their restroom! Then I went over to the baths and asked the man which one was free to use. I could tell he was cleaning them and he told me which one to use. I proceeded to wash my dog and the woman came up and yelled at one of my children to get off the step . (Ok, understandable, if he fell they could be held liable.) I told the boys to all hold hands and stand close to me. Then she yelled that I was washing my dog in the wrong bath. I nicely said the man had specifically told me to use that one. I don’t know what she was fussing about after that because I was trying to hurry and get out of there since it was now getting close to 7. I hurriedly dried my dog with 1 towel to just leave and let the boys take her on to the car while I paid. She said ,”I’m not going to charge you but never come in my establishment again!” I told her not to worry and I’ll be sure to let her boss know how kind she had been to customers. She said,”I am the manager!” As I was walking out. At this I bit my tongue, but would have loved to tell her she is not the owner and has to work for someone else. Since I was walking out anyway and I really hated that display of rudeness, especially in front of children. I just left. So you may want to avoid the Pet Supermarket on Pleasantburg. There are a couple more in Greenville that I go to and one in Spartanburg that I know of. They’ve always been more than nice!
January 25 · Lawson AshleyI went to use the dog wash and was a bit disappointed with the set up. I have used the dog wash at another pet supermarket and it was very different than this one (as in private room with grooming table, ramped tub and controlled dryer) This one was not in its own room and was a shared open space where two other dogs and owners could use at the same time. And inconveniently next to the kittens up for adoption. Thankfully my dog did not take notice of them. The dog tubs were nice in the sense that they were tile but could be challenging for some dogs to actually get in, there is not door our ramp. Also there is technically no grooming allowed although I did not realize this until after I had brushed my dog before her bath. The dryer only had one speed. The main thing for me was just that it was out in the open where people could come watch and ask to pet my dog while I was trying to dry her. So if you don't mind those things it's a decent place to wash your dog. Bonus the employees were super friendly! I most likely won't bring my dog back here again.
January 30 · Sara McDanielI have never heard of a Pet Supermarket, what is it? Well, it is a wonderfully clean and staffed big pet store. The staff were extra helpful and knew their trade and pets well. They made suggestions, showed alternative products, and did not mind me asking a zillion questions. Basically, I needed a sounding board and a personal shopper. They went above and beyond and have definitely earned my loyalty as a customer! See you all soon!
