Today I went to check the bag and realized it’s been EXPIRED FOR 1 YEAR AND 2 MONTHS!!! That is ridiculous how could your product be so expired. Whenever I got to this store I constantly have encountered expired products, beware and double check expiration dates when going to this store!!

February 18 · meganExtremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience at This Petco Location!!!!I am deeply dissatisfied with the treatment I received at this Petco location and feel compelled to share my experience to caution other customers.I visited the store with the simple intention of getting my dog a bath. Unfortunately, I was refused service due to the store not accepting my proof of rabies vaccination. The document I presented clearly showed the vaccination date—which was still within the valid timeframe—but did not include the expiration date. Nowhere on Petco’s website does it state that the expiration date must be explicitly listed for the documentation to be accepted. When I asked the staff to show me a written policy requiring this, they were unable to produce one.The grooming sales manager, Sam, initially rejected the proof, stating the vaccine was no longer valid because it had been administered exactly one year prior. Yet she also acknowledged that puppy rabies vaccines are valid for one year. This contradiction led to the involvement of the General Manager, Megan.Rather than helping to resolve the issue, Megan was dismissive, rude, and demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and customer service. She refused to provide the name, title, or contact information of her supervisor when asked. I then approached a sales associate, who kindly told me the manager’s name was Charles and went to retrieve his information. However, before she could return, Megan intervened and told her not to speak with me or provide the information.Megan then followed me through the store and, without cause, threatened to call the police if I did not leave. This escalation was entirely unwarranted and deeply inappropriate. I was simply trying to advocate for service and accountability. I explained that another associate had agreed to provide me with her manager’s information, but Megan once again threatened to call the police.As I exited the store, my dog lightly pulled me forward on his leash, and while I attempted to steer clear, my purse may have lightly brushed Megan. She then falsely accused me of intentionally hitting her with my bag. This level of exaggeration and dishonesty was both disturbing and unprofessional.This entire situation could have been resolved quickly and respectfully, but instead, I was met with hostility, refusal of service, and intimidation. Megan’s behavior, along with the lack of courtesy from Sam, reflects very poorly on Petco’s commitment to customer service and safety.I will not return to this location and strongly encourage others to consider taking their business elsewhere. There are many pet service providers who actually welcome customers and treat them with respect.Petco leadership should be made aware of how store-level management is behaving and take swift corrective action.
