Today he says I can’t sell the fish for food. I said they aren’t food. So he checked with his manager and didn’t sell me the fish. He also shook his head around like I’m the crazy one. Oh boy, no more dollars for you!
August 27 · William SmithI wanted to share my experience at Petco Grooming. We have a West Highland White Terrier, and we’ve been growing out the hair on his face for almost a year to get that classic Westie look.Because English is not my first language and we had a bad grooming experience in the past, I came with my husband to make sure everything was explained clearly. We told the groomer very specifically: please do not cut the hair on his face, just clean a little around the ears, mouth (for hygiene), and eyes so he can see. For the body — keep the skirt, trim the neck shorter and blend it into the back. And of course, full hygiene.My husband even repeated several times: “Please don’t touch the head. We want the ‘lion look’.”When I came to pick him up, my heart sank. His beautiful face hair was trimmed short — exactly what we asked not to do. I told the groomer, and she just said, “I’m sorry.”I left very upset. We were so clear with our instructions, and this was really important to us. I’m sharing this story in case it helps another pet owner avoid the same disappointment.📷 I’ve attached photos to show what we were going for — and what we got.
June 28 · AlldreamscometrueStaff helped me choose the correct lighting for my aquatic turtle after a competing store was clueless to help. The lighting kit was also on sale with a 20% discount. My turtle is very content.
July 20 · Lorinda ForeWent to this Petco out of NECESSITY since I am aware of the terrible reputation this place and their groomers have. Made my appointment online, was there on time, and told them I didn’t want them to crate my dog at all and that I had no problem waiting for them right there until they were able to take my dog. (I was literally there for a bath- no haircut) they said they couldn’t do that and their process is to put the dog in the crate until it’s their turn, then they bathe them, then they put them back in the crate to “air dry”while they work on another dog. The groomer (an easily 200lbs lady) also tried to put a leash on my 10lbs dog and when she backed off, she pulled her paw very hard and when I asked her to not do that, she said “she’s fine.. I think she’s just picking up on your energy”. To that groomer: I’m sorry my dog lives a better life than you and clearly has never been pulled like a rag doll but like DO BETTER, it’s not their fault you couldn’t get another job and got stuck at Petco.
