What is worth choosing
Choosing a pet store and service provider is a significant decision for any pet owner in California. For the local community in and around Beaumont, Petco presents itself as a convenient option due to its extensive product selection and on-site services. It's a place where you can find everything from specialized food for your goldfish to new toys for your dog. The array of service options, including kerbside pickup and delivery, are particularly appealing for busy individuals who value convenience and efficiency. Furthermore, the store's commitment to accessibility, as evidenced by the wheelchair-friendly facilities, makes it a welcoming and inclusive place for all members of the community. However, it is also important for potential customers to consider the experiences of others, as reflected in customer reviews. Some feedback highlights significant concerns regarding the quality of on-site services, particularly in grooming and dog training. One review described the training as a "joke" and the trainer as being disengaged, while another spoke of "unprofessional and poor service" in the grooming department. These reviews, while specific to a few experiences, are crucial to consider as they point to potential inconsistencies in service quality. For a pet owner, the decision to use services like grooming or training is based on trust and a belief in the provider's expertise and care for their pet. The negative feedback regarding these services suggests that prospective customers should conduct their own research or perhaps proceed with caution. While the retail aspect of Petco remains a valuable resource for pet supplies, the on-site services may not live up to the expectations of all customers. This dual reality—a well-stocked and convenient retail space alongside potentially inconsistent service quality—is what is most worth considering when choosing Petco in Beaumont. It's a place that can efficiently meet your product needs, but it may require further investigation for those seeking more specialized, hands-on services for their pets.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Unprofessional and poor service provided at the appointment. From the time I called to book service to the actual appointment and checking out, I can say this is not the same level of service experience this location was known for. I took my dogs there all the time in past years and it was great. Not anymore, this is the last time. Find another grooming place! Gaslighting and petty employees.
August 26 · Julie FisherThey don’t deserve any stars in my book, there dog training is a joke, the trainer I had was on her phone most of the time, she doesn’t help you if she saw you doing the training wrong, the only time she would engage was when I asked her to help me because I was having trouble with showing my dog the commands we were working on. I feel the $119.00 was not worth the effort put in by the trainer, she never seemed to show any interest in the actual training of the dogs. I would never recommend this company for dog training or grooming, they just don’t know what they are doing at this Pet Co for training or grooming, I give them a minus score. I’m very disappointed with them and will be telling all my friends what an awful experience it was.
July 22 · Paula BeltranIt was ok. They didnt have the cat flea collars i wanted even though the box was on display. The manager, at least thats who I think it was, and the cashier were very nice and helpful to the extent they could be. They didnt have any knowledge of the product i was there to purchase though. The person im calling the manager said there was a spider infestation since opening and Terminix had treated the area. I dont do spiders so that alone will prevent me from wanting to go back to that location! LoL.
July 31 · Nissa TammanyWe live in the mountains and have to drive an hour to get here for a grooming appointment. After booking the appointment online, filling out the questionnaire and confirming the appointment we drove an hour to get our dog groomed. After being greeted by a groomer that was tattooed from head to toe and looked more like they just came from a Hells Angel rally we were answering the check in questions. We let them know that due to our dogs anxiety we had given her the vet recommended dose of anxiety medication. They said that they would not groom her because we had medicated her and it was Petco policy. After getting home 2.5 hours wasted now we went on the Petco site and the Beaumont grooming page and there is NO policy or information stating they will not groom a medicated dog. What a waste of time but I suppose we dodged a bullet because who would want their dog groomed by such an unprofessional looking person. What a terrible impression and way to conduct business.UPDATE/RESPONSE: Thank your responding BUT our pet was NOT Showing any signs of stress. She is used to being groomed and happy to be there. You did NOT Address our concerns that our complaint is not an actual Petco policy and that we wasted half our day.
August 11 · Lori RoseLast time I shop here. Canceled pickup order with no explanation after filtering to items available in store. Called to find out why order was canceled and hung-up on after being put on hold with no answer after callback. PetSmart and Chewy will have my business going forward.
