★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We get "Chewy" groomed here every 6 weeks or so. Great trim and they love Chewy. Great rewards towards products and services.
May 25 · Berle BigelowIt was a petco, had petco things, not really much special. Couple dead fish in the tanks, one substantial trip hazard hose for the tanks but easy to see. But, BUT! Zoox. The Dusky Canure Zoox was adorable. ($1000) but adorable and entertaining. Some hamsters, quite a few reptiles. The staff seemed fine, my fiancée said no to Zoox, so it almost was a 1 star review tbh...
April 12 · Samuel HesterI purchased 2 sick bearded dragons from this location. The first one appeared to be just fine until we got it home and her salvia appeared to be thick. So I did my research and the local vet said to take it back to Petco to have it examined. But when I called the vital care number there was no vet or any vets in the area that specialized in reptiles for Petco available. A couple of days after that she went from eating everything to being really ill and pooping her guts out! So I called the store the day she was really ill, and was told just to bring her back and trade it in or get a refund since it hasn’t been 30 days. One of the young ladies made a sarcastic comment to the guy that exchanged her. “You sure it’s not just red bell pepper coming out.” As if we couldn’t tell she was sick. No sorry this happened. My daughter was devastated after seeing that. But his reaction was this happens with some of them. He even instigated after exchanging it for another one with telling us to make sure we always clean our tank, never leave uneaten food out because it can have bacteria and can cause infections. Mind you the tank that we got the first dragon from was full of feces and old food. Even the second time after trading the bearded dragon in, the food had feces in it!!! Neither time was in the morning. The second go around was late in the day. So what y’all doing all day? Just hiding not cleaning the tanks? So I decided to pay and take the new dragon to the local vet that specializes in reptiles and was told that 99% of their dragons carry parasites or have illnesses because they don’t clean their tanks properly and there’s too many in the tank at one time and the vet suggested that we do a feces test on our new dragon just to be sure that the dragon wasn’t sick because even if the dragon doesn’t appear to be sick after getting it from them. They can still have illnesses or parasites for years after getting them and once they show symptoms it’s hard to get them back to normal and majority of them don’t survive taking the treatments. One week later after getting his feces tested he was diagnosed with coccidia! The vet said it’s because the dragon more likely ate feces left in the tank or the tank wasn’t cleaned properly from having another sick dragon in there tank. So with all this being said. I literally purchased this very vital care just to be scammed! There is no help with a vet for bearded dragons with y’all. Also your company is literally selling sick dragons due to not cleaning the tanks properly and by having too many of them in one tank. It’s horrible! I was better off going to a local pet breeder than to this company. I spent more money on vet bills than I did the dragon and I should be reimbursed by y’all because your vital care does not help the customers! Your company needs to be investigated, this is inhumane. You need to take that sign down saying this reptile is for beginners. Because it’s not. The lighting you sell is not recommended by vets. And after purchasing a bearded dragon y’all should be giving customers options to get the reptile checked for free due to the unsanitary environments you keep them in. So I advise anyone that gets a dragon from this location to please take it to a real reptile vet asap. Even if it doesn’t appear to be sick. Because the care they give to their dragons are poor. Also, why aren’t y’all cleaning their tanks properly? You know there are too many in a tank and the young dragons will eat almost everything even their own feces. It’s ridiculous. I would never refer anyone to purchase any type of animal from this company. This is really sad. The fact that we purchased this pet for my daughter to enjoy has become a nightmare for her. There is no enjoyment caring for sick pets.
August 06 · Lawanda ReeseNot only will they sell you sick animals that will hurt the rest of your pets, but then when they reply to your review (on another platform) saying to call them because they “care about animals” (lol), they will just tell you that they cannot do anything about the incident… never giving them my business again. Better off going to local smaller businesses and/or expos.
August 21 · Ben RawlesMikey from the Aquatics department has put a lot of effort into making the aquarium selection stand out amongst the rest of the fish stores here in KC. He is incredibly knowledgeable and he is able to take care of a plethora of fish and creatures that need different care. Whether you have fresh water or salt water, this is great place to check out. He even had coral for sale! They put creative set ups in the tanks adding a more appealing view. Even if you aren't into having fish, there are a ton of exotic fish we didn't even know existed so it was an experience just seeing them.
