For pet owners in Arizona, choosing Banfield Pet Hospital is often a decision to prioritize convenience, accessibility, and a structured approach to pet health. The hospital’s corporate structure, while a point of concern for some, also provides certain advantages, such as a standardized list of services and the popular wellness plans that help make regular care more affordable and predictable. Many customers find that the value of these plans, which can include routine exams, vaccinations, and diagnostics, outweighs the cost, especially for pets with ongoing health needs. The positive reviews for specific employees, such as a helpful receptionist and a skilled vet tech, demonstrate that the quality of care is often personal and compassionate, despite the corporate setting. A customer noted how they “always received excellent care” and felt that the staff respected their decisions, which is a crucial aspect of building trust. However, it's also important to acknowledge that some reviews express concerns about service quality and the feeling that the business has become more focused on profit. One customer's very negative experience with a specific staff member and a lack of transparent care in front of them highlights the importance of individual interactions. These mixed reviews show that the experience can vary. Ultimately, what makes Banfield worth choosing for many is its professional system for delivering a wide array of services, its focus on preventive care through wellness plans, and the dedication of its front-line staff who strive to provide kind and knowledgeable care. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I bring all my animals here. Claudia at the front desk is always helpful. Anna, the vet tech is the best with my dogs. I have always received excellent care, and they never make me feel bad if I decide not to have something done to my pets. I have an aging dog and chose not to do dentals anymore. They were totally fine with my choice, and I appreciate them not pressuring me.
November 30 · April NowickiEven though they signed me up for the wellness plan it’s still not worth going back. 10 years ago we took out oldest there for kitten care and attempted again with a new kitten. Service and care has changed so much. No exam or anything is done in front of you. The vet never touched my kitten in front of me. So how do I know they even did an exam or gave shots. When it was time the tech brought it two big leashes and tightened them around her neck. She had a harness and leash and the extra was not needed but scary abuse. They tell me she will be sore and have skin reaction to the shots but nothing…. So was she even vaccinated or did I just pay to get scammed. They used to be great and caring but now it’s a money game. Anyone with real animal husbandry is not working here. They are scammers and animal abusers and will never go back to them. I have 3 cats and the first two were cared for through Banfield when care was great. Now it’s a scam and waste of money.Plus I learned if you loose your pet or they kill them during service, they still require you to pay the monthly fees. I should have walked out when a very unskilled tech was trying to get her info. The receptionist is amazing and nice and should find a better vet clinic to work

August 12 · Amanda GliebeAs a new patient we were not able to get an appointment at any veterinarian that wasn’t weeks or months in advance. At Glendale Banfield we were able to get an appointment within 24 hours. We were grateful for the care we received and feel blessed to be accepted as a new patient.
