★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Central Bucks Veterinary Hospital is the best around. My dog absolutely loves going to the vet and drags me inside. They are so patient and helpful with my incredibly difficult cat and always get what they need done in a very gentle manner. We appreciate them so much and are so glad we found such a great practice so close to home!
May 17 · Ally YerkesIf you read any review, please let it be this one and I apologize upfront for its length.I’m not one to write reviews but after seeing some of the unfairly written bad ones recently, I felt compelled to share my experience. Before finding Dr. Esplin, my golden retriever was diagnosed at 11 months old with a progressive congenital condition that cannot be cured, only slowed down. The vet who diagnosed him told me he’d be “lucky” to get to 2 years old but likely wouldn’t even get that far. He told me there really was not much we could do but prepare for some hard months ahead. Not too long after, I started working with Dr. Esplin at the previous practice she was at. She swiftly dove into his condition from every angle - from supplements and medications to diet and at home care - even researching new findings and adjusting his treatment plan accordingly. His case is a deeply complicated, ever changing one, yet she has not wavered once in her care, compassion, or handling of it. At critical times she has called me after hours to discuss results, emailed me on weekends, consulted with a specialist that I brought in, sat with me on the exam room floor as I cried through difficult moments, and even communicated with me while out on her own maternity leave. Back in May, a complication arose very quickly but it was right before they were closing for the day so I could not take him in to see her. She advised me to take him in to Penn Vet emergency hospital that night, but I shared I was worried he was too fragile to stay the night. So she called them right then, explained to them the situation, then called me back and told me to go first thing at 5am the next day. I did just that, and the team there greeted us by name before we even checked in, saying they were expecting us. That is the type of doctor she is.Today he is 5 and 1/2 years old, and it is not by luck that he is still here but by her active above and beyond effort. As for pricing - one would be naive to think that veterinary medicine should ever be "cheap". It is, after all, a medical field impacted by the rising costs of supplies, staff wages, and advanced technologies. Behind every bill is not only the cost of medication or equipment, but also the years of specialized training, the long hours, and the emotional labor required to treat patients who cannot speak for themselves. I pay at least $500 a month in medications alone, and often over $1,000 a month in vet visits and lab work. While I've had to make a lot of sacrifices to sustain it, not once have I questioned it or pushed back, because I know the value of the care we receive.I am at Central Bucks Vet monthly, and at times, bi-weekly, I’ve worked with both Dr. Esplin and Dr. Perkins, and I’ve been seen by each vet tech there - so believe me when I say this practice is one of one. From front desk to back office, there is nothing but compassion and care there, and I thank my lucky stars each day for them all because without them my soul dog simply would not be here. When the day comes when he can no longer fight the good fight, there is no one else I will want by my side other than Dr. Esplin and the staff that have gotten us further than anyone could have predicted. All this to say, there aren't enough stars to do them justice or to express my deep gratitude for Central Bucks Vet.
August 28 · Christina T.We are new to the area and there are many vets to choose from. If you’re reading this and unsure like I was, choose this one! They are extremely thorough and really genuinely care about the overall wellbeing of your animal. Even if you’re there for one specific thing, they have (for me at least) brought up another concern or rechecked something else during that visit. They are not just a vet that feels like a “get in and out” situation where you feel rushed. When calling in for an appointment, they are always able to get my dog in fairly quick as well. It’s a bonus there there is a portal online, too. Very happy to bring my dog here!Thank you for your services that you provide! Mia says thank you, too!
April 08 · Alyx MillerVery nice at first but then after spending a couple of thousand on just tests- The Dr left the most unprofessional disgraceful attack of character on my voicemail. instead of talking to me with respect and getting me on the phone, she listened to her receptionist who made up a story - she totally fabricated the interaction at the front desk . I suggested the doctors to go watch the video so they could see what actually happened in their office that day, but the damage to me was already done. Then the female dr. wrote a bunch of nonsense about me in the actual records, !! which is completely unethical and send it to other Vets where I’m trying to get treated. I believe in treating people with absolute respect, but I also expect the respect back of which I did not get at that facility- after payment.…. make sure you bring Clorox wipes w you if you go because the floors are incredibly dirty. The hair and fluids were so gross. I did not want my dog stepping in them since he had an open wound on his paw. So Gross and unacceptable. The only good thing about the practice is the husband doctor is very nice. Too bad for him dealing w that everyday.
August 29 · P KI don't want to give a poor review. We have nothing but great reviews of Drs. Danielle and Jack. Our issue is with having called for a price on a service, being quoted a price, and then being charged $28.38 more for that service than what was quoted. As well, our Miss Rylee did not have a nail clipping as was previously communicated and promised. Upon calling to inquire about the price increase, from four days previous, I was given the runaround with different explanations without apology, empathy, or clear, reasonable clarification. It's unfortunate.
