Given that appointments are recommended, it is always a good practice to call in advance to ensure your visit is as smooth as possible. This is a practice that excels at making pet owners feel welcome and supported. However, it is also important to be aware of the potential for rigid policies, as suggested by a negative review regarding a cancellation fee. This review highlights a key point of consideration: while the clinic is loved for its approach, it may have strict rules that are not immediately obvious. The conflicting reviews suggest that communication is a key factor here; those who appreciate the no-nonsense approach and clear rules will likely be very happy, while those who are not prepared for a formal policy may be caught off guard. August 27 · Heavy Metal MagnetThis Animal Hospital has horrible customer service. They are scandalous and will charge you for services that were not even initiated. Their business hours signage needs to state that neutering services drop offs must be exactly 7:3am otherwise hospital will charge $100 cancellation fees. I was there since 7:15am and left at 7:28am because I saw the business hours stating 9am. I thought I heard the lady incorrectly and so I was going to come back at 9am. Got a call that I was a no show and they wanted to charge me the $100 cancellation fees. I told them they need to update their signage and be more clear with their direction. Base off that technicality, they did not want to waive the fees and were adamant. I wish they were adamant in rescheduling or more adamant in helping the customer than trying to make pennies off customer

The receptionist, nurse, and doctor, the whole team! I wish I wasn’t moving out of the area because I would definitely come back here regularly. I have told my pet bearing friends and family to come here as well.I brought my two senior cats for shots and a health certificate inspection, and, as shy and anxious as my cats are, I felt that they were in good and safe hands.I recommend booking your appointments early on to grab a spot as it seems like they fill up quick, but do not let that dissuade you! The team was professional but so kind and personable. I think it’s worth the wait.
September 28 · Pell Ty wife and I have taken our dogs here since the early 1980s. Dr. Peterson has always taken great care of our 7 dogs through the years. Very caring and professional. The ONLY time I took one of our dogs to another vet (a VCA), she was misdiagnosed. Our Wolf/Malamute was right at 16 yrs (had him since 5 weeks) and needed our extra attention in his last days. Our Ausie who was 14.5 yrs had a growth the VCA vet said was benign. It turned out to be cancer and of course Dr. Peterson caught it. It's September 2024 and we live far away now, but still go to Dr. Peterson at Las Tunas Dee and Dr Peterson are great. Las Tunas Animal Hospital can be trusted with our precious animals!
September 23 · Paul VyhnalekWas recommended by a friend of mine who took her animals to Las Tunas for many years. I went to my first appointment this past Friday with Dr. Peterson and I am so happy to have found this place! Dr. Peterson and his nurse were so kind and nice. They took their time to look at our cat Dill who has an absorbed tooth dental issue. They answered all of our questions and didn't even charge us for the appointment! I've never ever been to a place where the consultation is free.Further I could tell that Dr. Peterson and his staff really care for animals and aren't just in it for the money. He even thanked us for driving all the way from LA and the nurse even gave our cat a whole bag of cat treats before leaving. I couldn't believe it. Anyways I cannot reccommend this place enough!
