So...any positive reviews you may have read were all when Dr. McMillan was there. This place has gone absolutely down hill since Dr. Scotto took over. I have been going to Mercy for over 20 years with my pets. My first yearly visit with Dr. Scotto, I was NOT impressed. But thought, well maybe growing pains, I'll give the benefit of the doubt. 2nd yearly visit, same meh thoughts. Extremely long wait in the waiting room with an appointment. The last straw, my dog actually NEEDED to go to the vet. Wasn't yearly visit, he needed to see the vet for care. I was told it was over a month wait....and to go to an emergency vet. This was not an actual emergency, but serious enough he needed to see a vet. I waited a couple of days and called back. Told the front desk, you are his vet...he needs to be seen and a month is not acceptable. I was then told, the Dr was not even in the office, she was doing farm visits. And not there the next day (she is never there on Wednesdays). That was it....how can you as a vet, not actually see animals when they are sick? Oh, happy to do yearly crap, charge for all sorts of tests, get the gravy money, but then when an animal actually NEEDS to see their vet....you know the whole reason we have a vet, sorry, it's going to be a month!!!! Unacceptable!!!! I was able to call another vet....BRAND new patient, explain to them what was going on, and was seen in 3 hours. AS A NEW PATIENT. Needless to say, they are our new vet. I would NEVER recommend Mercy, and if this keeps going I see her out of business shortly. And wouldn't surprise me.

The staff has been doing a wonderful job. Appointments have become more accessible in a timely manner and I appreciate that. Kevin says thank you for getting him on the mend.

I really like Mercy Animal Hospital and I say this because they came through for me at a time when looking for a new Vet was almost impossible. I had just lost my beloved Persian Cat and took in a rescue. My old Vet did not want to take on a new pet and my rescue needed to be seen. Without hesitation, they said to bring her in. I love the Veterinarian and the very knowledgeable staff! They also now take care of my little dog as well! It is nice to go where everyone is so friendly!

Was the best hospital at one time but since Dr McMillan retired it went down hill. They don't return your calls. Never got my results on a blood test. Woman Dr that took over is awful you can tell she is in it just for the money. Dr Mac had compassion for the animals not her all she sees is dollar signs had to find a new vet because they don't answer phones and never return your call. It's a shame how that place went down hill. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. .

I have been going to Mercy Animal Hospital since the 70s. When Dr. Childers was the vet. There was a period of time when I had no pets that I did not have a reason to go. But, as soon as I had a pet, it was the only place I even considered!. Dr. Childers was no longer practicing, so I met Dr. McMillan. I liked him immediately. He was gentle and extremely knowledgeable. He felt like family. Almost 5 years ago. I rescued a senior dog. He was a shiatsu mix and about 12 years old. I had taken him to a vet that was affiliated with PARL to be checked out and evaluated. He had a couple of little things that I was given medication for. It cost me an arm and a leg! Then the vet told me that he had a fractured molar. I was told to bring him in to have it operated on. The bill was going to be over $700!! I took him to Mercy and Dr.McMillan looked at the tooth and then took a pair of forceps and pulled out a sliver of tooth that was stuck in his gum. It wasn't attached to anything else. It was just hanging there. It took him about 2 seconds to take it out...no pain, no muss no fuss. No extra charge!! That was the $700 tooth extraction my little dog was saved from! I will never go any where else! Now, its time for my 16 year old dog to cross over the rainbow Bridge. He no longer can use his back legs, he's completely deaf and half blind. He is suffering with must be very bad pain. I would not take him any other place to be put to sleep. The gentle and caring staff at Mercy will take care of my boy, I know.
