★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. broady has been our vet for more than 20 years. He is wonderful, compassionate and honest about every situation our animals have been facing. We love Dr. Broady. His whole team is professional and caring.
September 11 · Roxanne TromblyMy wife and I have been Bringing our friends, our cats to Shelburne Falls Veterinary. As true pet owners we were worried about One of our pets named Axel. We had to rush him to Shelburne Falls to find out what the problem was.We found out from Dr. Brody that he felt Axel had heart problems And most likely had a heart attack and probably wouldn’t make it through the next two weeks. However, we did everything. doctor Brody told us to do and our little buddy is now surviving but for how long, I believe that to be the case too and with his help and our help we got him walking again eating etc.but he still has heart issues so we paid an Additional $450 to have a heart specialist come by, and we would be able to talk to that specialist. Even the staff said we could get in there and have questions for the specialist. However, when we got there, we weren’t able to get right in with the specialist she was late, but we didn’t mind because we knew our little buddy was gonna get taken care of.Well, we didn’t get to go in. It was quite mobbed and I understand that it’s more of a first come first serve basis. The next day, Dr. Brody called my wife and yelled and her screaming & said he would throw both of us out of his office for some thing I did that he didn’t like. My wife didn’t do anything .The actions I’m speaking about were purely me and not her but he wasn’t man enough to call and talk to me pretty near a week later we get an email stating he can’t treat our pets anymore, we have paid him thousands of dollars through the years with our pets and this is what we get? what kind of lowlife would treat your pet like crap because he’s got a hard on for some discrepancies between the receptionist and my wife. The only thing I can say about dr. Brody is how Surprising to find out he doesn’t care about your animals! What kind of lowlife would kick you to the curb and not give a damn about your pets Survival.
September 30 · Tim AlexanderThree years ago I gave this place a five star rating. I have since deleted it.On Sept. 13th we had a medical emergency with our cat Axl. He dropped to the floor, became paralyzed in the back end and was crying out in pain. It was close to opening time so we were able to get him to SFVH immediately. Upon our arrival we had to wait as he was crying out in pain. We stayed calm and waited until Dr. Broady finished up with a client. We should have been taken right in. Everyone heard our cat crying. He was in a lot of pain.We had gotten the diagnosis he had a stroke. Dr. Broady kept talking to us as our cat was still crying out in pain and then he started panting and the vet tech had to say “Doc what are we going to do for Axl.” Like let’s get going! He needed to see a Cardiologist so about a week or so later he saw one at SFVH. We were told we’d get to speak with the Cardiologist. That never happened. I had also asked if I could be with our cat as I was worried he’d be scared without me being with him after all he’d been through. I was told no as it was a small room and there wasn’t enough room for another person. I was told we would be sent the report by Thursday. It was a bit hectic there and I had questions but I figured I’d ask at a later time. Two days later I received a call in the morning from Dr. Broady asking how Axl was and then he proceeded to tell me that wasn’t the reason why he was calling and he started yelling at me and questioning me about something I had nothing to do with and had no knowledge of! After he had his tantrum he hung up on me!I had not received Axl’s echo report so on Sunday the 29th I sent an email asking for the report if they had it and I asked some other questions I had regarding Axl’s care.On Monday, just before closing I received the report with a letter from Dr. Broady that due to my interactions and behavior with his staff over the last few weeks he would no longer be treating our cats. WHAT?! I asked for specifics as to what he was referring to because I had no clue what caused him to say that. I never got an answer. He left us hanging with a cat that has CHF and a report we don’t understand and have questions that never did get answered and more questions after seeing the report. What kind of vet acts like he did and leaves a client with a cat that has CHF hanging with no medical care? He should be ashamed of himself! After this all took place I got to thinking about things. There has never been more dental cleanings and extractions done with our cats since we started going there. Were they really necessary? I’m beginning to think not! Also, how can there be one vet and you’re open only four days a week from 8-5 take on new clients all the time or take in “emergencies” from a non client? Perhaps he is loosing patients? Either they leave due to his attitude or he drops them at will when he gets a bug up his butt!Beware of this so called vet with his Jekyll and Hyde attitude. And yes, a complaint has been sent to the MA state licensing board regarding his actions.
October 02 · Diana AlexanderBEWARE of the crazy rude receptionist! The vet claimed 4 month old puppy had fleas which was false after a bath and examination done by me. The vet said they had fleas but provided no medication solution. I had to go to Pioneer Valley vet that same day to get advantix. I simply asked the receptionist why this wasn't provided and told me to go get the medication from another vet and swore at me said that she was dropping the new puppy as a client. How about the receptionist puts animals first and stops dropping animals as clients and the clinic drops her as a receptionist. She is very rude and thinks she has the authority to drive business away because clients simply inquire why a medication wasn't provided. I see another review complained about the unprofessional receptionist. For this businesses livelihood I hope they get a new receptionist or give the lady a lesson in customer service!
