TLC Pet Doctor Introduce
When seeking a veterinary professional for your cherished pet, New Jersey residents know that finding a practice with a caring, knowledgeable staff and a comprehensive approach to health is paramount. In Union, TLC Pet Doctor has established itself as a key resource for pet owners, providing a wide array of services designed to meet the diverse needs of both dogs, cats, and even smaller companions like pocket pets. This clinic's mission is centered on the total well-being of your animal, ensuring they receive the best possible care throughout their life. From routine preventative measures to urgent medical needs, the team at TLC Pet Doctor is equipped to handle various situations with professionalism and a commitment to animal welfare.
The importance of consistent, reliable veterinary care cannot be overstated. A pet's health is a journey, not a destination, and having a trusted partner to guide you through it makes all the difference. TLC Pet Doctor aims to be that partner, offering a welcoming environment where clients are encouraged to make appointments to ensure they receive dedicated attention. The provided information and positive customer reviews suggest a focus on personalized care, treating each pet as the unique individual it is. This commitment to one-on-one attention helps to build the trust that is foundational to a successful veterinarian-client relationship. A pet parent's peace of mind is just as important as the pet's physical health, and a practice that understands this balance is truly worth considering.
However, it is important for potential clients to be aware of all aspects of a business before making a choice. While many clients have had positive experiences, as noted in a review about a successful spay surgery for a dog named Flora, there are also accounts of negative interactions. A negative review highlights issues with communication, staff demeanor, and perceived discriminatory behavior. It's crucial for prospective clients to weigh all available information and consider their own needs and comfort levels when selecting a veterinary clinic.
Located at 1326 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ 07083, USA, TLC Pet Doctor is situated in a convenient spot for local pet owners. The clinic's location is easily accessible, and the practice has made a clear effort to be welcoming to all clients by providing key accessibility features. These include a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, which are crucial for ensuring that pet owners with mobility challenges can bring their animals in for care without added stress. This focus on physical accessibility is a practical benefit that demonstrates a commitment to serving the entire community. Given that appointments are recommended, clients can also expect a more streamlined and efficient experience once they arrive, reducing potential waiting times and making the visit as smooth as possible.

- Positive Surgical Experience: A review from a satisfied customer highlights a successful spay surgery, with the staff being described as "lovely" and the doctor treating the dog "with care and respect." This type of feedback is important, especially for pet owners facing surgical procedures.
- Accessibility: The wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot are significant features that ensure the clinic is available to all members of the community.
- Appointments Recommended: This planning feature helps to ensure that visits are efficient and that the team is ready to provide undivided attention to each patient.

What makes TLC Pet Doctor worth choosing for some New Jersey residents is its clinical expertise and capacity for providing a range of medical services. One customer shared a positive experience with their dog's spay surgery, noting that the staff was "lovely" and the doctor was caring and respectful. This experience showcases the clinic's ability to handle critical procedures with a personal and compassionate touch. However, the decision to choose a veterinarian is deeply personal, and the contrasting review, which raises concerns about customer service, communication, and a perceived lack of inclusivity, cannot be ignored. The clinic's response to the negative review, while providing their perspective, also reveals a strained interaction that potential clients should be aware of. Ultimately, choosing TLC Pet Doctor means considering both the positive accounts of successful medical care and the negative feedback regarding customer service and communication. For a pet owner, the ideal vet clinic is one that not only provides excellent medical treatment but also offers a consistently supportive and respectful environment. While the clinical services appear to be a strong point, potential clients should consider these varied experiences to determine if the overall environment aligns with their needs.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Yesterday I had an appointment to have my dog Flora spayed. We arrived on time and was greeted by a lovely lady who explained everything to me. I filled out some simple paperwork and she took Flora in the back. I picked her up hours later and she looked great considering she had surgery. the doctor treated her with care and respect. I am glad I found a new vet. She gets an A+ Thank you for taking care of my baby!
July 17 · Gregg KitsFrom the berating tone on the answering machine saying to leave a message which they will never return, to the rude staff, I would skip this place completely. If you speak Spanish only, don’t count on the Spanish speaking employee to be any help. The vet is rude and not friendly at all, so much so that I wanted to inquire about some issues my dog has been having but decided not to so I wouldn’t bother her any more than she was already. Save yourself the discrimination and only go if you’re white.Edit in response:1- the person that went to you wrote the review.2-I’m actually the one that did call twice and left a voicemail to which I never got a return call. It wasn’t until this past week when someone picked up the phone and I was able to make the appointment. Otherwise I’d still be waiting for a call back following the rules.3- our appointment was for a check up and shots. No one ever said that was an emergency. If you had more important cases, then you shouldn’t have given us the appointment for when you did. It’s not like we can simply show up as you state in the your answering machine.4- please reread the review. It didn’t say you or your staff are white. It said as patients, you’d probably be comfortable if you are white to not have to deal with any of this.5-you can send the records to this email.6- congratulations of graduating from Cornell.
July 30 · J VI went to this vet yesterday without checking the reviews first. As soon as I walked in, I understood what others had mentioned—the receptionist was snarky. With an attitude, she told me that anesthesia for senior dogs comes with risks. I replied, “I’m aware.” She then pointed out my dog was missing two vaccines and acted like it was a big inconvenience to get them done.We don’t need extra attitude or judgment when we’re simply trying to care for our pets. The doctor came in, examined my dog’s teeth, and commented that they looked good compared to other mouths she’s seen, which she described as “nasty.” My senior dog does need an extraction, so we scheduled surgery—until I started reading reviews afterward and realized they weren’t even planning to do blood work before anesthesia.Needless to say, I canceled the surgery and found another clinic that is taking the proper steps to ensure my pet’s safety. For anyone reading this: trust your gut and do your research.
August 14 · Tyra LeeI do respect + admire Dr. Karen Negrin for her work but as for their care for your pets overall, I think it leaves something to be desired. Not very friendly and not warm or encouraging towards my pet.Another thing is for many months now the whole place smells like dogs doo + they don't remove the odor.
March 28 · Rebecca LamannaI took my dog here for an emergency and this was the only place (and I called 15 places) that would see here same day on such short notice. And thank goodness the vet there could see me, or else my dog may have never regained full mobility. The vet was super kind and explained what she was doing and why every step of the way. She didn't do any unnecessary procedures that rack your bill up. The whole visit cost less than the fee one place was trying to charge me just to be seen same day. I will definitely be taking my dog back here. It's so refreshing to find a vet who actually loves what she does and cares about your pet. And now my pet is back to normal!
