Atmosphere 10/10 The people here don't just try to sell you something. They know their stuff and have lots of knowledge and background in knowing and understanding each animal. They will never sell you something that you will regret. The people here are kind and friendly and are able to help you take better care of ur pets without breaking the bank. Compared to big corporations, these guys are a million times better. I hope they never close up shop They are the best in Rhode Island, and I love all the staff and the animals. ( I'm not getting paid or bribed to say my opinion) they also have merch stop in and check them out.
July 11 · Harmonyusually nice and have wax worms. I asked about the cost of getting a background done in my tank. they said $200. I brought it in, they changed the price to $250 because they'd "need all the materials" as if the $200 price doesn't include materials, and as if we didn't already schedule the drop off and work (I expected them to have the materials by then). I called to confirm what parts of my tank to bring, but was told the wrong information 2x, and had to make 3 trips for drop off. the skinnier guy was rude and /kept/ saying he didn't care what I thought looked cool for designs. he said "whatever we do is what we do." I called Saturday to confirm the pickup, and only then did they tell me it wasn't finished by that past Friday as planned; it would be ready Tuesday. Tuesday comes and I picked it up. within hours the substrate that "cost $80" fell off. I went to NEHERP in CT (1.5 hrs away) after I picked up my tank, and they had AMAZING designs for $159 for about the same size as my tank. NEHerp mentioned that they dont take outside materials because of cross contamination. 401 Reptiles put reptiles health at risk by taking my materials. 401 Reptiles didnt give me an itemized list and claimed the "supplies" (a handful of dirt and moss applied too late, and 1 can of spray foam) was $100 (which costs less than $50) and $100 for labor. they simply sprayed foam and shoved my cork pieces into it. they put no thought into the design or aesthetic. they did not not have ANY of my items organized together when i picked up, and some of my stuff got left behind. Not going back to pick it up after how they treated (and tricked) me. the less-skinny guy lied to me saying "its been drying for 3 days" and "took 6 days to do" while the skinny guy admitted on the phone they didn't start until Saturday the earliest. judge for yourself with the pic
