Blue Zoo Aquatics Introduce
In the vibrant and diverse state of California, the passion for marine aquariums is a thriving hobby. For enthusiasts, from beginners setting up their first tank to experienced aquarists managing complex reef systems, having a trusted source for healthy and high-quality livestock is paramount. Blue Zoo Aquatics, based in Gardena, has established itself as a premier destination for marine life, operating primarily as an e-commerce service with a strong local presence. This unique business model allows them to cater to a broad audience, providing access to a specialized inventory of saltwater fish and coral that can be difficult to find in a standard pet store. Their dedication to responsible sourcing and professional handling of delicate marine animals has made them a go-to resource for many in the California community.
Blue Zoo Aquatics understands the intricacies of the marine hobby, from the specific needs of different species to the importance of proper acclimation. Their business is built on the foundation of providing a wide selection of healthy livestock, which is a critical concern for any aquarium owner. The convenience of their e-commerce platform means that enthusiasts across the state can access their inventory, bypassing geographical limitations and tapping into a more specialized market than a typical local brick-and-mortar store might offer. This accessibility is a major advantage, as it allows customers in less densely populated areas to acquire rare or specific animals for their tanks with ease.
While the reviews for Blue Zoo Aquatics can be mixed, they offer valuable insight into the business's operations. The positive feedback highlights their proactive and professional communication, as seen in the case of a customer who received a call about a size change before their order was shipped. This level of transparency is highly valued in the industry and helps build trust. The care taken in their packaging, including proper cooling packs and containers, is also a consistent point of praise, indicating their commitment to ensuring livestock arrives alive and healthy. For a hobby that relies on the safe transport of live animals, this is a non-negotiable aspect of service and a significant reason why many customers choose to return to them.
However, it is also important for potential customers to be aware of all facets of a business. As seen in one of the reviews, a customer had a very different experience, citing a request for a driver's license copy for a transaction. While this may be an isolated incident or a misunderstanding of a security protocol, it is a noteworthy piece of feedback that speaks to the varying nature of customer service interactions. Ultimately, these reviews, both positive and negative, paint a comprehensive picture of a company that is actively engaged in the e-commerce side of the marine hobby, with a strong focus on their logistical and fulfillment processes.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered a pair of red mandarins and a dragon wrasse yesterday. I will always order a specific size of fish. The day of shipping Mr. Greg called me and said they had another size instead of the one I ordered. I was very pleased to have received a phone call before they shipped the livestock. Everyone one arrived alive and is loving their new home! Packaged very well with proper cooling packs and styorfoam container. I have always had great success with Blue Zoo aquatics and Mr. Greg is very knowledgable and professional. I highly recommend and will continue to purchase from them. Thank you Blue Zoo Aquatics!
July 30 · RyanI bought a fish from this company that they clearly forgot to update they were out of stock. They called me and told me they oversold and they could get me a larger version of this fish to which I agreed to. They then asked for a copy of my license first before they would ship the fish? This is bizarre behavior from a company and extremely suspicious, no private aquatic life company should ever need a copy of a driver's license to sell a fish. I would not trust this company and absolutely recommend staying away, no wonder they have average 3 stars on their reviews.
August 26 · Bruno GwizzardsonPlaced and order on June 11th for 6 Blue Velvet slugs, 7 peppermint shrimp and free lawnmower blenny ($275.00 total). Order was to be delivered on June 16th. When it didn't show near noon I called. Only to be told that they only had 2 of the slugs (because they don't last long in their systems) and reason for not contacting me they had both email and phone problems. The chances of both being down at the same time and the lack of stock, but advertising it being available leaves little to be believed. I do not know a business owner that does not have a cell phone that could be used when a business line goes down. .. to recap, short on the slugs, phone was down, email was down. As a business owner myself, do better, there is a reason your ratings on review websites and forums are taking a beating. The reason appears to be you.
June 13 · Joe Ethief's - Shipped me some snails and starfish of which half were dead. Only would give me a credit and were going to make me pay for the shipping to resend the order of the livestock that was lost - I was going to have to re-pay the shipping just to get what I originally ordered. I have a $90 credit that I cannot now use with this company. I filed a complaint with the Better Business BureauDo not do business with this company they will rip you offI would give them negative stars if I could but I have to apparently give them at least one to file the complaint.
April 04 · Bret A (escape today!)I usually get fish locally, but I was very interested in a dwarf lion they had. Thankfully, being in SoCal I was hoping for the best with a short overnight shipping trip. This was the first time getting anything live for my tank shipped, and it went very well (I waited about 2 weeks to write review). Package arrived slightly early- the sooner acclimating the better. Fish were packed well. The dwarf lion looks beautiful, healthy, and fins were undamaged. The Valentini also looks healthy and good weight. Working on getting the dwarf lion to frozen, but the Valentini eats like a pig! Would order from them again.
