May 31 · JMI have made a few purchases from goldfish island and I’ve had a pleasant experience each time. Each time I was delivered a quality live fish, I get the overnight shipping because I live in Los Angeles. Their customer service is really good at getting back to you with any questions or concerns. They even are willing to hold my fish for two weeks while I go on vacation. I have ordered from other online goldfish dealers but the quality wasn’t up to par. I now only buy from goldfish island. If you’re looking for a quality goldfish order from goldfish island!
May 14 · Bryan LeI received my package from Goldfish Island a week ago. I ordered 2 UPICK telescope butterfly and a sakura golfball pearlscales. My first time online ordering for goldfish because my local area, there is no such this quality. I just want to write this review to show my appreciation for the professionalism and staff at this company. They clearly did what they advertised, especially their customer service and fish care helps. They even call me to guide me when one of my butterfly has a hard time after arrival. The staff guided me through the quarantine process that i need to do, and now all my fishes are thriving, free of stress from shipping after few days. Especially my most favorite Golfball Pearlscales. I have been searching all over the country for this, and seems like only at this company that has the quality i am looking for. Another good thing is the both the UPICK process and regular purchase are so easy, very top notch customer service from them that let me select my own fishes. I am picky, i have requested them to change multiple times, and they always happy to do what I asked. My apology to you guys that i was rude when one of the fish was at the bottom and not swimming much after the arrival, but you have taught me a lesson about their expected behavior post-arrival. Now, i understand more about my fishes and their behavior, happy that they are all very healthy and normal now. I will definitely buy from Goldfish Island again, i think they are the safest place to order from. When buying a live animal online, more than just the fish, you need to consider the care and after-sale services the company offers. And, i think they are the best in this field.

The owner Nick is Incredible with his knowledge of Fish and Water quality and Filtration! Also setting up Tanks of all sizes and Sumps! I would give 10 stars if possible. I did an edit to add pics.
July 13 · Peter CurroI do not trust Goldfish Island , every fish I’ve purchased from them (Two Ranchus) both have experienced issues. One of them DIED within 7 days of getting the fish and they flat out REFUSED to refund because I didn’t purchase 1 day shipping (I was unaware of their refund policy and I wish there was a warning when you decide between shipping options). I tried asking as to why my fish could’ve died , emailed them multiple times with my parameters and they cut me short and couldn’t care less. I was left completely ignorant as to why my fish could’ve died (Granted fish can die from stress alone, however they did not reassure me or atleast gave a Damn that my fish died, now I’m down $150 and a bad experience. Not to mention the other fish I purchased, she’s still alive to this day however she’s experiencing bad fin rot and ammonia burns meanwhile my other ranchu I purchased from West Coast Gallery is THRIVING with no fin rot or ammonia burns when they both are in the same tank. I’ve emailed them multiple times thinking they can recommend me products or suggestions but there came a point they stopped responding to my emails, BAD customer service and communication, they couldn’t give a damn. I have a 75 Gallon tank with two 70+ sponge filters, substrate, plants, and a HOB filter. My PH is always at 7.0, temperature 84 degrees, ammonia, nitrates, nitrites, etc all at 0. My Mechanical, Biological, and Chemical filtration is on point with crystal clear water , yet all fishes I’ve purchased from Goldfish island do not seem to thrive in these conditions. It seems the fish they raise are meant to thrive in cramped and inhospitable tanks and NOT personal well managed aquariums. They do not care about their fish and only about the $ and trends. They do not provide comprehensive care guides for their Ranchus unlike Jimmy from Jimmy goldfish who I Recommend 1000%, for premium Ranchu goldfish, he actually will email you personally for any shipping delays and gives comprehensive guides for everyday maintenance on his Ranchus, and he actually RESPONDS to my emails. Goldfish Island let me down and I will not be returning to shop here unless they can provide a resolution, but since it’s “against their policy” I don’t think they will. I love my goldfish ranchus so much and I’m devastated by what’s happening with the other ranchu I purchased from here that’s still alive, I have to keep her in a quarantine tank and give daily Salt and Methlyne blue baths because of her ammonia burns. In the pictures I’ve provided, I show proof I purchased fish from them , a dead fish within 7 days of arrival, the thriving black ranchu with no fin rot, and the current alive orange ranchu with fin rot and ammonia burns. It keeps getting worse for her and I’ve trying everything I can. anyways I’m sorry Goldfish Island but you’ve lost my confidence in you guys and I hope others read this and learn from my story as well.
