June 16 · Skip 1017I've been frequenting the Lakewood Petco a bunch over the past year or so for our cat supply needs. Often doing order to pickup or repeat deliveries. All going well.Recently we adopted a puppy and have had a hard time finding the right collar/leash/harness situation for her. Nothing seemed to fit right. She's very young, too young to have sniffing around the Petco. So out of desperation we carried her into the store, explained the situation. They sanitized a cart for us and helped with fitting an appropriate collar and harness.We were overwhelmed and so grateful for the help this afternoon.
August 16 · Tiffany HartlineBought a pet I believe was sick since the day I got it, took care of it and loved it gave it a happy life. And sadly I wasn’t aware my pet was sick and he passed away seemingly over night. I brought my pet in to this location because it was within my 30 day purchase period and was hoping for refund. They offered a refund but said I was NEVER able to purchase another pet from them again. The staff were very rude speaking to me as if I weren’t even taking care of it. They made comments about how skinny the pet was although the only looked skinny after passing away, and how much it should’ve been eating a day, which the pet was never even CLOSE to eating the amount, and I know for a fact they weren’t feeding it that amount before I purchased it. They made remarks on how my pet was dehydrated although I gave it weekly baths and it would love to spend time in its water dish. I was disappointed with how I was treated and how rude the staff was. I went home feeling less of myself after already feeling so down about my pets passing. And the fact they told me I could never purchase another animal, I wouldn’t have ever wanted to anyway because I don’t believe they take care of the animals they sell. Do not shop here they don’t know animals and they will blame you if a pet dies.
September 20 · Adam WaffleThe cashier over charged me by adding extra quantity to the product I bought, unfortunately I did not notice until I got home and checked my receipt. All of the employees were unpleasant and rude for no reason, I don't expect everyone in a retail setting to be happy to be there but at least be pleasant/ decent to deal with and be helpful. Nobody checked with us at any point if we needed help and the worker by the door when we came in was honestly just glaring at everyone walking in like it was a huge inconvenience to her that customers were coming in. It just didn't make for a great experience at all and kind of left me feeling grumpy for a bit too afterwards 🤷♀️

I was unsure about buying an automatic litter box for my cats; after talking with a few staff I decided on the Petsafe brand. It’s been great and cats are happy too! Glad they are my home store.
