When considering where to shop for pet supplies, what is worth choosing is a place that provides reliable service and knowledgeable assistance. The provided customer reviews, however, shed light on some potential challenges at this specific location. One review details a frustrating experience of being ignored by an employee near closing time, highlighting a "pattern" of staff being difficult to find for assistance. This customer notes a sense of "unprofessional and inconsistent" service, especially when the priority seems to be closing up rather than serving customers who have been waiting. The review rightfully points out that customers "shouldn't have to chase down staff in order to be acknowledged." This perspective suggests that while the store may have a good selection of products, the customer service experience can be a significant drawback.
An even more concerning review comes from a former employee, who worked at the store for two years. This review is a powerful caution to potential customers and job seekers alike. The former employee claims that the store's focus is on "profits" rather than "animals," and alleges that employees are "careless" and "improperly trained." They state that staff may give "incorrect information to get a sale out of you" and strongly recommend that customers "DO NOT rely on careless, improperly trained employees to sell you an animal." This review goes on to urge customers to do their "own research" before getting a new pet, suggesting a lack of trust in the store’s guidance.
Given this feedback, the decision to choose this Petco location is a personal one that requires careful consideration. While the store offers a broad range of products and convenient services like curbside pickup and delivery, the negative customer and employee reviews raise serious questions about the quality of in-person customer service and the reliability of staff expertise. For customers who prioritize a quick, in-and-out experience for basic supplies, the store's accessibility and shopping options may be sufficient. However, for those who need guidance, expert advice, or are purchasing a new pet, the provided reviews suggest that this particular Petco may not be the best choice. It's a reminder that a store's reputation is built not just on its products, but on the quality and integrity of its staff and services.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I waited in the fish department for 10–15 minutes with no employees in sight to assist. Eventually, I walked to the front of the store and saw one employee at the register helping a customer and another focused on closing up. When I asked that second employee for help, a heavier-set man with curly dark hair and a beard, he responded with, “We’re literally closing in 60 seconds,” and refused to assist me. Strangely, he did turn around and help my husband purchase crickets just moments later. That felt incredibly unprofessional and inconsistent especially considering I had been waiting well before closing time.Honestly, this seems to be a pattern. Every time I’ve been in this store, it’s a struggle to find an employee to help. I always end up wandering around just trying to get basic assistance. Customers shouldn’t have to chase down staff in order to be acknowledged.I fully understand stores have closing hours, but if customers are still inside and waiting for help, the priority should be customer service … not rushing to shut down. I hope this gets addressed moving forward.
June 15 · Chrissy BrownWhether you’re interested in working here or come into shop, I strongly recommend you don’t. Working here for 2 years not only severely damaged my mental health, but made me realize nobody at this store cares about animals, only profits. They will tell you incorrect information to get a sale out of you, or they simply aren’t trained to sell you a certain product or animal. If you’re considering getting a new pet, PLEASE do your own research and DO NOT rely on careless, improperly trained employees to sell you an animal they just want to get out of their store.
June 13 · Vivian DruryGroomers are nice however google claims the grooming closes at 6 but last time I came in I was told they close at 5 due to staffing. Completely understandable. I called earlier to try and confirm what time grooming closes and no answer. Left a voicemail and no response back all day. Remembering I was told they closed at 5 I decided to head because my dog needs her nails cut. Left work early to rush to get there before 5 and grooming was already closed. Either update your online hours or actually have staff available to call people back so they can make an appointment and advise hours of operation
May 13 · Matt BushI wish I could remember the name of the man who helped us. My daughter has been looking everywhere for shrimp for her fishtank. This man helped us locate them right away, was extremely friendly and informative, and assisted in finding exactly what we needed. This was the friendliest Petco I have ever been to.
June 07 · Dawn WoodsThey had some fantastic saving online for dog bones. As a single income mom, I have to really watch my pennies. Everything I ordered was at the store. It was ready on the same day even though I wasn't. They had everything conveniently located at the front desk. The workers seemed to love their job. I was so happy to be able to bring Maisy, my Weimaraner, in the store with me. She is going to be one happy girl with her new treats and bones.
