★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Their prices are quite high. I'm one of those people who believe that if you go into a store that specializes in a particular thing, in this case pets, prices would be better than if you purchased the same item at Target or Raley's. The cat snacks I purchased for my cats were $3 more at Petco. They sell birds and fish and allow adoption space for cats. But with a PetSmart 5 minutes away, which is far larger, you'd think they would look at competitive pricing. In addition and as you can see from the pictures and video I posted, not a single staff person was on the floor to assist shoppers. In fact, the only helpful people were the people from Ohana, the cat adoption organization that does not work for Petco. I'm not a huge fan of PetSmart but Petco is even smaller and actually has worse customer service, which is pretty hard to believe. The cat adoption people from Ohana were great but that's only if you are going there to adopt a cat.
July 11 · Lisa StephensonHi, my name is Jamie, and I recently adopted two baby bearded dragons from your store on Mother’s Day. I’m reaching out because I had an uncomfortable and concerning experience with one of your employees during the adoption process, and I feel it’s important to bring it to your attention. While I was interacting with the dragons, the employee forcefully squeezed their genital area to try and determine their sex — without me asking. It was very sudden, and it made me uncomfortable, especially because this is not a safe or humane way to handle reptiles. As someone who cares deeply about animal welfare, I was concerned for the health and comfort of the babies.Additionally, the same employee held one of the dragons up by its front limbs and made it “dance,” which was distressing to watch. Bearded dragons are delicate creatures, especially as juveniles, and handling them this way can cause injury or stress. I didn’t say anything at the time because I didn’t want to be refused adoption, but I left feeling upset. In the store, I knew that one of the dragons I adopted had lost a part of his tail and it was healed, but once I got them home, I also noticed that his fingers were very damaged and I’m worried he might lose one however, returning him to the store Does not sound best for his future .I’m bringing this to your attention in hopes that you’ll speak to your staff about safe reptile handling, appropriate ways to sex animals only when asked, and overall respect for the animals in your care. I’m not trying to cause trouble — I just want to make sure future animals and customers have a better experience.Thank you for taking the time to listen. I’m happy to speak further if needed.Sincerely,JamieI feel like it’s rare when I store actually reads your review And makes an effort to change what happened or what’s going on in their store. Aside from this one experience, I’ve only had good experiences at this store and recently I spoke with the manager And she recognized me from my review, lol but that’s OK because she also told me that particular person was spoken to And no longer handling the animals and I was really glad to hear that.On a positive note, the store is always clean. The workers are always very nice and knowledgeable. And as long as they have them, they don’t restrict how many crickets I can buy my bearded dragons. Thank you.
June 25 · JAMIE ARSONI will give it a 1 as the groomers are nice. Store management is terrible. Corporate has no customer service contact. My older dog slips on tile floor and manager decides they won’t do the grooming. Groomers were fine but then he says “they aren’t comfortable”. Not true. They just groomed her 6 months ago and her health and activity hasn’t changed! Been a customer here for 15 years. Manager stop inserting yourself and let your team provide service. Will buy food and get grooming somewhere more focused on the customer and not worried about risk and liability.
July 23 · FalconThe customer service here is poor, and some of the groomers lack proper skill and professionalism. The manager is also very unprofessional. I would not recommend spending your money here to have your dog groomed. They don’t always take good care of the dogs — mine came back still wet on more than one occasion. The overall quality of service is disappointing. When I raised my concerns with the supervisor, he didn’t take the time to listen and sided with his staff without fully hearing my side.
July 28 · Ebone JeffersonWe are very upset and honestly heartbroken. Our puppy — a Husky — was completely shaved without our consent. Huskies should never be shaved like this unless medically necessary, and no one called or explained what was happening. She looked like a doll, and now she looks and feels completely different. This was shocking and emotionally distressing for us.We trusted your team, and this kind of grooming decision should never be made without clearly informing the owner — especially for a double-coated breed. We want to understand how this happened and ensure it never happens again, for our dog or any other. This has truly been painful for us.”
