June 01 · Alisha SchenckYesterday I took my Yorkie here to get groomed by Jaclyn and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. She accidentally nicked his neck while shaving him then when I came to pick him up I was shocked at how bad the haircut was. I specifically provided her with photos and tips on how I would like his face cut and she did the exact opposite. She cut all of his beard off and the hair on the back of his head doesn’t look right either. Not happy at all and they only gave me a 20% off the grooming bill. First two photos is how I wanted it and the last three is from today.
January 27 · YolandaI have spent years with Petco, spending thousands of dollars on dog training, treats, fancy poodle haircuts, dog beds, outfits including one for Halloween and more. I was a vital care member for at least five years. When I moved closer to the Chester store, I decided to go there. But they canceled at least two grooming appointments and sent us home when we arrived early because our days were busy. When they found out my dog is on anxiety medication, they refuse to service us. It makes you wonder if it’s because you speak with an accent or look different than the employees. When I called corporate, they refused to end my membership until a year passes. I’m waiting for an investigation and a call back from corporate but I don’t think an apology and even 250 dollars would be enough to cover the cost of the free haircut my dog earned after we spent so much on grooming + the 20 dollars a month for the vital care membership. What a shame that the terrible manager sided with a lazy employee who refused to service us. It makes me miss the last Petco that took my dog before work and let me pick her up after. They would always be there and “cancelation” meant your dog’s favorite groomer wasn’t the one who gave her a spa day.
August 10 · Mariam AlkazemiI’ll begin to say I’ve been a loyal customer and a vital care member since 2020. I’ve paid thousands of dollars over the years and it breaks my heart the way I was treated today. But I’ve canceled my membership and am no longer a customer. My grooming appointment was canceled twice before. Earlier this week, they waited for me to arrive and then sent me home because the groomer was not available. Then today I went early and was sent home because they said they couldn’t keep my dog, which is a departure from their usual procedures. My dog is anxiety medications and today they canceled the appointment because she is medicated. This is also an extreme departure of their procedures as it was a Petco team member who asked me to take her to a vet about her anxiety. Since we moved to a location closer to Chester though, I’ve been extremely disappointed at least three times. Today was the final straw and I will no longer spend money on this company—a commitment I’ll make for at least one year.
August 09 · Mariam AlkazemiI have bought 7 goldfish for my already established aquarium in the last 2 weeks . They all died, even killing the ones I already had. When I was there the fish at the store were acting weird, they were all gathered/huddled on the bottom of the tank. I think the fish are sick. The employee said they were fine. I won’t buy from Petco again for a while or at least until that batch is gone. I bought 3 Thursday, they were all dead by Saturday night, I bought 4 on Sunday and they all died by Wednesday. The vendor needs to make sure the fish are well before delivering the to the stores.
