★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I actually dreaded the thought of going to Petco today.. but I had to to get the food I needed for my cats. I recently had a horrible experience at the West Bountiful Petco. One that led me to never want to be associated with Petco ever again. But my experience at the Farmington location today and with Sophie, the most pleasant customer service person, has eased my opinion some. You can actually read my review about West Bountiful Petco. I have never left the negative review about anything but that experience left me just shook.Sophie today was so pleasant and took the time to really talk to me about grain-free diets with cats and initiated the conversation! Something I had done many times with the customer service people at West Bountiful but with no avail..Sophie was so pleasant and knowledgeable and just a positive light. Thank you Sophie for making me feel like I have a place to go to get my supplies now.
September 13 · Corrie LeaUsually when we go it’s great but today it wasn’t. When we walked in we weren’t even greeted by the TWO workers we saw. They were both stalking the shelves, fine. When my husband and I were looking at the reptiles on our way to the registers after grabbing what we needed, the young girl ‘Tru’ acted put out because my cart just so happened to be in her way as she took something to a shelf. We then went up to the registers where nobody was watching for customers. We waited a good 15-20 minutes for someone to come to the register. As we were waiting, the only thing that greeted us was a cricket walking across the floor and jumping all over. After our wait by the cash registers while watching Mr. cricket, the girl ‘Tru’ walks up and says “are you ready?” While she’s ringing us up she continues to be snotty and act put out. Please train her in customer service and train your workers to actually watch the counters. It could have been easy for someone to just walkout with their item(s) because nobody was even looking. Not happy about our experience today. I’m giving 3 stars due to the experience today but the stocked items are 5 stars.
September 05 · Maunie RigbyAssociate was very polite and helped with my three dogs while we shopped for the perfect snack and toys. Store was well organized and clean. And the little shoppers helpped give attention to the three fur babies.
August 29 · Wes WoodruffAbsolutely the worst experience I have ever had. Do not take large breed dogs here. After giving detailed instructions to both groomers they shaved both of my dogs faces even after we talked specifically talked about a teddy bear face. I was horrified when I picked them up to find that both of my loved ones were literally skinned. I was promised a discount when they could not complete them on the first visit, none was provided. They did not clip their nails and I paid $250 for a job I could have done myself. I’ll never be back Here are before and after pics
August 24 · Brandon HowardI rescue chameleons from stores who’s personnel don’t allow know how to care for these special delicate creatures.. On the 19th of June they had this incredible sale on so many things in the store one of which was chameleons. So I called the Farmington store just off the medical campus at the University of Utah Medical Center. I was told chameleons were half off but so was a panther chameleon (very rare and special species. I was also told the next.day was there bucket sale, anything fits in the bucket 20% off. So I waited. Last year I got a rare and serious nerve condition that required 3 surgeries last year so know Monet is very tight. Last year on my last surgery I was told I was in the clear but the condition progressed and returned to my opposite arm. I was told if the could not get this sorted I only have a few years left.On the 24th of June I called them back to see if the sale was still on with the chameleons and the 20%off bucket. I also generally explained to him what I did. He said the Chameleon was fine why would it need a rescue and said maybe I need one. I said exactly this is my dream pet and I was hoping this time a chameleon could rescue me. But by the time the conversation got to this point most of what I got from the manager were slurred and aware words. I told him that was my dream pet and I was simply asking for a discount after almost 40k in medical costs this year. He said he hoped that no one would be rescuing me. My response was that it didn’t matter if he wanted to sell the chameleon at a discount or not that complete lack of kindness was never called for. Pet stores are one of the places I love to be, but I have never been treated this poorly anywhere. I know quite a few Petco managers and this man that Worked on the 24 was quite simply deplorable I have never seen such disregard for a customer or for professional decorum. Please do your self a favor and don’t go to this store. For me going through this life threatening situation and he wishing that I would loose this battle. I told him sometimes we don’t rescue the pet, companion or animal they rescue us. It makes me never want to go into a pet store again. However the truth is most staff I have met at these stores will bend over backwards for you but definitely not this one. The shameful thing about this is this awful individual cold hearted individual is in charge of anyone let alone an animal but that he will receive no reprimand for this. If you have to go to Petco just go to The Salt Lake Valley where they don’t wish death on there clients. It’s not the company or the individuals just this one individual who unfortunately is a manager. I bought two 125 gallon aquariums from Petco last year in cottonwood heights store. Go there she is a sweetheart or Joe in Taylorsville who also a manager and a very outstanding person. Petco please do something about this because no person of an kind should be treated as I was. Just wanted to inform and warn those in Davis county,
