★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Much appreciation to Kaina and Emily. I brought my 3 babies in and they made time to groom 2 out of 3 of the dogs. In fairness, I was a walk in. The were busy but managed to get me in. What I appreciated the most was how sweet they were talking to my furbabies while their nails were being trimmed.Thank you for taking care of my “kids”
August 30 · Wendy Harp, RealtorI have NO idea how this store has any good reviews. I have been here multiple times for small things here and there or just to come look and every time it’s the same story. First I want to start by saying that I had called in advance just to make sure they had crickets (my local Petstore was out). The first time I got someone on the phone a man answered and said hello, I asked “is this is the villages location?” Then the guy literally hung up on me. So I called again and a women answered I asked the same question to make sure I called the correct store, then I asked they had any crickets in stock. She sounded so annoyed with me for even calling the store, she was very rude just didn’t want to talk on the phone I guess. Then I head over there and start looking around before I asked for crickets. First thing I noticed is the turtle like almost completely sideways shining right in my face. Then I come across the snakes and saw this poor baby that is literally coved in mites. Just the fact it was soaking in water told me something isn’t right then I got closer and saw a bunch of mites all of the poor guy. I do not recommend anyone to support petco at all by purchasing animals here but if you do please take it to YOUR vet for them to get properly treated because the fact that they have a vet in the store and the snakes have mites really tells you something. Also housing reptiles together (even as babies) is NOT good at all. It stresses out the animals, could cause them to be underfed (I doubt they sit there and make sure each one gets the appropriate amount of food), they can get injured by another lizard/snake. Housing multiple hamsters (not dwarfs) is NOT okay either, they are solitary animals!! The Guinea pig cage is absolutely not okay even for one a temporary cage while in the store. The habitat is so narrow the adult g-pigs that were in there couldn’t turn around very comfortably. The animal neglect/abuse should be reported, it is NOT acceptable to treat the animals like that or allow them to be in those situations. I just want to say the employees are plainly just not nice people. One of the women who was working was sitting right out front of the store smoking a cigarette and I got a big nasty whiff of it walking to go into the store. The older lady who is always there at the register is never nice, both the women I seen never smiled and did not have one nice thing to say. I will only come here when I absolutely have to. Awful store, awful employees. Also it’s not that hard to bag crickets that just shows you how lazy and uncaring the staff is. If you can’t be nice even fake nice in front of people who are BUYING stuff at the place you work at then don’t work in retail.
August 17 · Maggie HernandezThe girl who was probably 25 knew way to much about fish than she should. She cared very much . I even called store back and got her ( based on piercings ,facel . Which who cares ) she told me again exactly what the king of fish were called. Made sure to remind me on how to take care of them. Very eclectic, nice and educated employees.
