When evaluating a veterinary hospital and its associated pharmacy services, it is crucial to consider all aspects of the customer experience. What is worth choosing about Banfield Pet Hospital is its strong emphasis on preventive care and its convenient, all-in-one location. For pet owners who value a proactive health plan and the predictability of a wellness plan, this location can be an excellent fit. One customer noted a positive experience, highlighting that their dog's surgery was successful and that the staff was pleasant and professional. This positive feedback speaks to the quality of care and the trust that can be built with the veterinary team. However, it is also important to acknowledge the critical feedback. A different review raises significant concerns about customer service, wait times, and communication, specifically noting an hour-long wait for a five-minute vaccine and difficulty getting a hold of the clinic. Another review shared a more severe issue, describing a situation where a pet was not properly diagnosed and had to be taken to an emergency vet, raising questions about the corporate nature and specific policies of the hospital. These reviews highlight the dual nature of Banfield: it provides a convenient and comprehensive service with a focus on preventive care, but its large-scale model may sometimes lead to communication and scheduling challenges. For pet owners in Connecticut who are seeking a one-stop-shop for routine care and a structured wellness plan, Banfield can be a valuable option, but it's wise to be prepared for potential service variations and to communicate proactively about your pet's specific needs.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ll start by saying my dogs never experienced a problem here but as a pet owner it can be a nightmare at times. Last time I brought my dog for a vaccine I had to wait over an hour from our scheduled appt just for a 5 min vaccine and it is impossible to get a hold of the clinic over the phone. For a service that’s quite pricey it’s difficult to justify the late appointments and the lack of employees to answer the phone during business hours.I want to make it clear I appreciate the hard working employees here and they’ve always been great to my dogs but the wait times are tough to plan around as a full time employee.
August 12 · Gerardo TuemeDon’t take your pet there !!!!!!!!!!Such a bad service. Never call to say the dog has parasites! And also never touch him bc he was too young !Big corporations - just making money.I have to pay for a service (to cancel the contract) that I didn’t even know they did to my dog bc they took the dogs to the back. You don’t see what they do over there. !!! my dog could have died!!! The same day I took him to banfield I had to take him to the emergency VET at night!DON’T DO IT! Save your pet’s life and your money!
April 18 · Karen ContrerasI'm very disappointed with the team at Banfield. I genuinely feel like the do not like my baby. He is aggressive yes but it's sad 5 trips for him to get shots.
September 01 · Davida JohnsonNot worth it ! They never call to say your pet has parasites . Never thoroughly check you pets . If your a day late on a monthly plan 20+ dollars . Over 400 dollars to cancel a plan! Not worth it
August 24 · Reighn MontagnesiHad horrible experience with them. They have no sympathy. After my dog was put under anesthesia even though they knew that was not the best decision since he suffered from issues with his kidneys. Then after my dog passed away, they continued to charge us for his medical insurance. I would take your animal somewhere else. Take them somewhere they truly have a passion for working with animals
