This approach has earned them a loyal following among local residents who have experienced firsthand the difference compassionate and affordable care can make.
Lyndhurst Animal Hospital Inc operates on a principle of prioritizing the health of the animal above all else. While some may find the facilities to be less than pristine and the doctor's demeanor a bit reserved at first glance, the true value of the clinic lies in the expertise and dedication of its team. As one customer's heartfelt review explains, the clinic provides "truly affordable prices that make it possible to save your best friend's life." This focus on making quality care accessible is a rare and invaluable trait in the current veterinary landscape. The clinic's philosophy is rooted in a deep understanding that a pet is a member of the family, and that life-saving treatment should not be out of reach. The story of a blocked cat, who received comprehensive care including finding the underlying cause, a prescription, and even a bag of food, all for a fraction of the cost elsewhere, powerfully illustrates this commitment. The team’s dedication to doing their best for the animals in their care, even in complex or routine cases like spaying, is a recurring theme among satisfied customers.

Life-saving medical care: The hospital has been able to successfully treat serious conditions, such as a blocked cat, which required a week of hospitalization and diagnosis of an underlying cause.
Spaying and Neutering: A common procedure performed at the hospital, as one customer attested to, which resulted in a successful surgery and a full recovery for their cat.
Routine Wellness and Vaccinations: The clinic is recommended by a long-term client for yearly shots and general preventive care, which suggests they provide reliable, routine services.
Prescriptions and Diagnosis: The doctor is noted for accurately diagnosing problems and providing necessary prescriptions, all within a reasonable price.
What makes Lyndhurst Animal Hospital Inc a notable choice for pet owners in New Jersey are a few key features that are consistently highlighted in their customer feedback. These qualities speak directly to the clinic's values and its role in the community.
Unbeatable Affordability: A primary feature is the clinic's commitment to low prices. One customer was astounded that a full week of hospitalization and treatment cost less than a third of what they had paid elsewhere for a similar issue. This makes life-saving medical care accessible to a wider range of pet owners.
Professional Expertise: Despite any initial impressions about the facility's appearance, multiple reviews emphasize that the doctor "knows what he’s doing." This is a crucial highlight, as it shows that the focus is on medical competence and not on superficial aesthetics. The ability to correctly diagnose underlying causes of complex conditions is a testament to this expertise.
Commitment to Animals: Both reviews, from a long-term client and a first-time visitor, highlight the doctor's dedication to the animals. One mentioned that the doctor "loves animals and does his best," while the other noted that their cat was "doing amazing and is very healthy" after a significant surgery.
Honest and Factual Approach: There's a refreshing honesty about the clinic that customers appreciate. The doctor's focus is on providing necessary care rather than over-servicing or pushing expensive and unnecessary procedures, which aligns with the needs of pet owners who feel that medicine has become "just a business."

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Yes, most of the reviews are accurate. The hospital isn’t exactly the cleanest, and the doctor might not be the friendliest at first glance, but he knows what he’s doing. My cat was blocked, and we were extremely worried, especially because we had lost another cat with the same issue, and we went at two different clinics. Those places left us not only heartbroken but with enormous debt, because let’s be honest: medicine in this country is often just a business. At Lyndhurst Animal Hospital, that’s not the case. They have truly affordable prices that make it possible to save your best friend’s life. My baby stayed there for almost a week. The doctor found the underlying cause, gave the prescription, and even included a bag of food all within the final price, which wasn’t even a third of what I’ve paid elsewhere in the past.I’m beyond grateful.(PS. This is a picture of my cat the same day he came back home)
June 17 · Karla CifuentesI've taken my female cat to get spayed from this hospital 4 months after she had babies. She was 6 years old at the time, I was crying and having the worst possible time thinking that my cat might die for going here but being low on money and having nothing I can do. I had to trust my parents. The surgery went well, my cat was weak as hell and it took her 3 to 4 weeks to fully recover but she is doing amazing and is very healthy. I'm old enough now to voluntarily go and pay for her and my other animals and they all have continued to be very healthy. I recommend bringing your pet here for yearly shots and for neutering / spaying if needed. I have many animals without wanting them at a young age but I love them with all my heart and will do anything to get them what they need. Please bring your pet to another vet if you fear that they have a bigger issue than shots or infection. The vet loves animals and does his best to do what he can do, so please be respectful and leave if you don't like it.
July 14 · Bridget PerezThis place is a scam for sure.Since you walk in, you can see and feel the heavy bad vibes. I’ve been there 2 times.A girl went to pick up her 🐱 from a leg surgery and they give her the ashes in a box due to “complications”.We went for a regular routine checkup, but the “doctor” didn’t even check the ears, hearth beats, physical exams… you know, the regular. Always in a bad mood and trying to finish quick to see the next patient on the list. They try to sell you medicine that you pet doesn’t need, just for take your money. The office where he see the pets is very nasty, hygiene is something new for them I can’t even imagine the state of the operating room. The lobby always smell like fecal feces, even when they have 3 ladies in the front but nobody cleans at all.Asking for a budget? No possible. They invented the prices and don’t have a real budget for the cost of things so they aren’t able to give a breakdown of the budget that you request.I know their prices sound reasonable, compare to other expensive dog clinics on the area… but trust me, you don’t want to risk your lovely pet life on this nasty “doctor” hands. If you don’t like or at least care about animal… Why do you work there? Always the money greed.
June 17 · Victor HernandezWe had to try this place on behalf of our 2 cats because it was very close to our house and convenient. As stated in most of the reviews, it is incredibly dirty inside and the doctor never applies the right treatment. Last week, on behalf of my cat, whose urinary tract was completely blocked and had a stone in the bladder, a catheter had to be inserted and a bladder flushing procedure had to be performed, but every time I went to see my cat, the catheter was full of blood and my cat was lying on its own filth. He removed the catheter in our laps, took x-rays and sent my cat home without telling us about the stone in the bladder and without doing a blood test or ultrasound. My cat couldn't urinate all day and his abdomen was incredibly swollen. We went to the emergency room and my cat was catheterized with a bagged catheter, bladder flushing was performed and they literally drew 3 liters of bloody urine from it. My cat almost died. Yes, it may be cheap here, but your pet's life should be more valuable than anything else. He charged us 1800$ even though he did nothing and lied to us. Definitely does not deserve even 1$ and this is the only place that should be closed. I am very worried about my cat from now on and I regret that I stalled and gave him the wrong procedure and made it more serious. I don't want you to ever go here.
October 22 · Şevval BüyükbaranUnfortunately, I don't recommend it. We made an appointment by phone. I needed a health certificate for the airline to transport my cat, valid 24-48 hours before the flight (stating that the cat is in good condition and will survive the flight). In my country in Europe, such a certificate is issued without any problem if the cat is not ill, does not have a fever, etc. Unfortunately, the doctor refused to issue the certificate on the day of departure due to an abrasion on her ear – he stated that the cat had an ear infection and was unfit to fly! The doctor was very rude, even shouting, explaining that such a certificate is issued by a state doctor and must be requested two weeks in advance! Doctor – the airline doesn't need a certificate issued two weeks in advance, but rather one issued 24-48 hours before the flight! Such a certificate, which you so rudely informed us about, would simply no longer be valid for the airline! The airline wants to know the cat's health status right before the flight, not two weeks in advance – a lot can happen in two weeks. Furthermore, we don't transport the American cat out of the country; the cat is being returned to Europe, and in this case, a different procedure applies.Despite the very negative reviews on your forum and the terrible cleanliness, we gave you another opportunity to rectify the negative impression from your previous visit, which was similar.Unfortunately, I agree with the majority – the conditions are distressing, dirty, and unpleasant. I would be afraid to allow any procedures in such conditions.I know your daughter is also training for her profession, so let's hope she will approach the profession and clients with more empathy and respect. You live in the same house – a lick of paint, replacing the damaged furniture, a little dedication, and the clinic would certainly look neater and less unappealing. The certificate was issued without any problems by another veterinarian; the abrasion on her ear didn't pose a threat to the cat's health or life and wasn't a barrier to issuing the certificate. A flea comb should be disinfected before each use, not just by removing fur from another animal! At this clinic, I was simply afraid we'd come home with new residents. We won't be using their services again. I was terrified by the reviews, but I always prefer to form my own, and unfortunately, I don't know the knowledge and expertise of this vet, but what I saw is enough to say that I wouldn't risk my cat's health with any treatments there. The conditions are terrible, the customer service is very unpleasant, and basic hygiene is lacking. Unfortunately, I don't recommend them.
