Mobile Pet Care Introduce
### Introduction / Overview
For pet owners in Connecticut, the bond with an animal companion is a cherished part of life. When that bond is reaching its natural end, the decision to say goodbye is one of the most difficult a person can face. Mobile Pet Care, a veterinary service based in Bristol, is dedicated to making this painful process as peaceful and comforting as possible for both the pet and the family. Led by Dr. Rebhun, this service specializes in compassionate, at-home euthanasia and end-of-life care, ensuring that pets can transition "over the rainbow bridge" in the most familiar and loving environment: their own home.
The core of this practice is its profound empathy and willingness to go above and beyond for its clients. One customer, who had to put their beloved dog to rest on Memorial Day, shared a powerful story of Dr. Rebhun’s dedication. They had been unable to find any other vet open on the holiday, but Dr. Rebhun returned their voicemail, and "given the severity of the situation he would be more than willing to help us." Another client, whose 14-year-old dog was her "whole world," was moved when Dr. Rebhun "made her a priority on June 28th and came to my home that night without a second thought." This level of personal commitment and compassion is a recurring theme in the feedback from pet owners who have used the service.

### Location and Accessibility
Mobile Pet Care's physical address is 177 School St, Bristol, CT 06010, USA. However, the most significant aspect of this service is its mobile nature. Instead of requiring pet owners to bring a sick or elderly animal into a potentially stressful clinic environment, Dr. Rebhun travels to the client's home. This eliminates the anxiety associated with car rides, new smells, and unfamiliar people, allowing the pet to remain calm and at peace. This is particularly valuable for animals who are in pain or have severe arthritis, as noted by one client whose dog was "unable to move without crying."
While the service is mobile, the practice is committed to accessibility. The physical location at 177 School Street provides a wheelchair accessible parking lot, demonstrating a consideration for all clients who may visit the office for other services or consultations. Appointments are recommended for the house call service, which ensures that Dr. Rebhun can dedicate the necessary time to each family and provide a calm, unhurried experience. He is known for returning calls promptly, even on weekends or holidays, a rarity that is deeply appreciated by his clients during difficult times.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Rehbum just showed up at my house tonight with my girls ashes. Saying goodbye to her was the hardest thing I had to do, she was my whole world for 14 years. Dr. Rehbum made her a priority on June 28th and came to my home that night without a second thought. He sat with us and made it as bearable as it could be given the situation. He is an amazing person and made the hardest day ok with his caring ways, I’m so very thankful for him.
July 21 · Bonnie ShieldsMay of 2024 I had to put my beloved heart and soul, my dog Sydney, to rest. It was Memorial Day and my boyfriend and I were not able to find anyone who could help her over the rainbow bridge. She was in so much pain from an arthritic attack, one that she could not bounce back from. We were avid members of VCA in Bristol CT which was closed for the holiday. Any other vet was also closed. We didn’t want to bring her some place that would stress her out, as she was already unable to move without crying in pain. My boyfriend had left a voicemail with Dr. Rebhun. He called us back, my boyfriend explained the situation, and said he normally does not squeeze people in, but given the severity of the situation he would be more than willing to help us. At around 7pm, Dr. Rebhun had come by our home and consulted with my family and I. He explained everything well, how the process was going to go. Sydney, who was normally very weary of new people, especially men, seemed to be at peace in his presence. It’s like she knew what she as happening, but was completely content. Dr. Rebhun was absolutely fantastic. I was able to look at my girl as she passed, making sure I didn’t leave her side. He did not rush us and let us take our time saying our goodbyes. He made a paw imprint for me, which I cherish and greet every morning and night, along with her ashes. After everything was all said and done he took the time and care to help my boyfriend bring Sydney out to his vehicle wrapped in my great grandmothers blanket. He returned with her ashes about a week and a half later. I would highly recommend Dr. Rebhun over and over again. A five star rating isn’t enough.
March 28 · Kaitlynn ZukowskiDoctor Rebhun had never treated out cat and didn't know us. We were outside his typical service area. Despite all this, he made time out of his busy schedule to come to us when our sweet cat was at the end of his life. We didn't want to stress him out by bringing him to a vets office, and Dr. Rebhun enabled us to allow him to pass peacefully at home. He was compassionate, thorough, and so kind. He made sure we knew we were making the right decision and handled the procedure with care and respect. Anyone who finds themselves in such a terrible situation should know that Dr Rebhun would guide them and provide them with compassionate and professional service.
July 09 · Keith FarrellUnfortunately I had to put my loving, sweet girl to sleep. My beagle almost made it to 16 but came down with cancer and quickly declined after only a week. Trixie is sorely missed. The doctor came out to my apartment a few days after calling and was very caring, which made a difficult time a little more calming. My only complaint was the cost, but my fault for not asking what the charges would be before coming. $1,700 for the visit, including cremation and a wooden box with her ashes. I would recommend this caring doctor but ask about charges first so you aren't surprised by the cost.
August 16 · James NobitzDave is a genuine human being serving a higher purpose in life. His love and compassion for animals and human beings is astonishing and the man puts the time in working long, late hours every day. When our extremely timid and shy female cat was closing in on the end kidney failure, we opted for a mobile vet to treat her. Dave was extremely thorough in laying out all of our options and sharing his 30+ years experience with us. He also taught us a great method to administer Sub Q fluids to her in an easy, controlled manor without creating a bunch of stress. Overall we are extremely thankful and appreciative for Dave and for everything he has done for our family. Thank you so much again Dave!
