Their commitment to their patients is perhaps best illustrated by a customer's personal story of a life-threatening emergency. A devoted pet parent, faced with an astronomical surgery quote and no open appointments during the holidays, found a lifeline in Lexington Veterinary Associates. Despite not having been a recent client, the staff, led by a compassionate and helpful person named Sylvia, listened, took action, and connected them with a surgeon. This immediate, empathetic response not only saved the pet's life but also provided much-needed relief and a sense of trust that money can't buy.
This level of dedication highlights the practice’s commitment to going above and beyond. The story of Dr. Siddons, described as a "guardian angel," performing a risky, successful surgery for a fraction of the cost quoted elsewhere, speaks volumes about the practice's integrity and expertise. This is not just a business; it’s a team of professionals who are willing to "listen, think then... just HELP," as one grateful client put it. While some reviews may touch on concerns about cost transparency, the overwhelming sentiment is one of gratitude and loyalty for a team that provides exceptional care in both routine and critical situations, making it a place where "anyone who loves their fur babies... well, this is the place to go!"

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I've been a fur baby Mama for 20+ years & I would not take my fur babies anywhere else! They took such good care of my two shitzu's, they both lived 16 years! Now I have a Lhasa Apso. I didn't take her to Lex Vet until I had her a couple of years... I got her rabies shots at Vetco (not recommended) but money was tight during Covid so I had to make it work.On Christmas eve her belly swelled like crazy! I had no idea what was going on. I took her to the emergency vet (blue pearl - waltham) and $1500 later they tell me she needs an $8500 surgery (emergency spay) because her Uterus is so swollen. I was beside myself! I went home, called 30+ places and NO one could help. It was between Christmas and New Years, no one was open, or had any slots and I did NOT have $8500 to throw around. Finally Lexington Vet answered! I hadn't been to the office since I had put my last Shitzu down back in 2016. Honestly, I was so worried about my Lhasa Apso (Harper) that I didn't even mention I used to go there.Sylvia picked up the phone. She actually LISTENED TO ME! She went and talked to the surgeon... she got me an appt to see the surgeon on New Years Eve! Dr Siddons! My guardian angel!!!Tuesday he checked Harper out, agreed to the surgery... it was scary, a lot of risky stuff going on... He said her uterus was like a water balloon it was extremely swollen and filled with fluid. Since it had to be taken out with metal tools, it could have ruptured & that would have caused sepsis. (We went home and stayed VERY STILL for 5 days... Then, Friday 1/3/25 @730am we went to the office, a short 7 hours later I picked my baby up and she was fixed! Her UTERUS WEIGHED 6 POUNDS! She went from a 15 pound dog to 9lbs after her surgery!2 weeks later, follow up... included in price of surgery. They were still loving, sweet and so thoughtful. Even excited to see us!Long story short (far too late, lol) ... Lexington Vet Assc. saved my dogs life! They saved my bank account. All said and done it was $3500 BUT it was not $8500 and they were AMAZING! It was the best feeling in the world to find a group of people that had no idea who I was but they were willing to listen, think then... just HELP! Lexington Vet Assc. was a breath of fresh air after the guilt trip from the animal hospital telling me I need to take out a "Care credit card" to do the surgery right now...Syliva, Dr Siddons, & everyone at Lexington Vet, Harper and I love and appreciate you all more than you can imagine! We brought thank you cookies from the yummy Royal Bakery, but that does not seem like enough. So this is my first Google Review (I think... lol) Anyone who loves their fur babies... well, this is the place to go!
February 28 · Jan MarchantI have used this practice for 4 years. I have always thought it was a bit of a money grab to be honest but they are local and have a good reputation so I put up with it. I have just started to use a different vet, out of town. The service and care are light years away. So much better, and they are actually transparent with costs.
April 24 · Jon MilneMy kitty was sick a few weeks ago and they all put a lot of effort into helping her get better on very short notice.
August 07 · Meredith BeckThey charge significantly higher rates than I expected. Initial registration for my kitten Lexi was several hundred dollars, and they quoted nearly $2,000 for a spay procedure. While the facility may offer quality care, these prices seem exorbitant. I took my kitten elsewhere and had her spay $300.
December 26 · Nellie TToday I received a package certified in which they sent me my dogs records with a note take your dog somewhere else! I guess they didn’t like that I calll them out on their services - I took my dig forA wellness exam because she needed the next guard and charged me 200 dollars for a five minute exam in which mind you they took me out of the exam room, then the doctors attitude toward me was so condescending and talk to me like I was a dumb person ! They are so expensive, they don’t tell you anything and they are weak - instead of getting better on how they handleCustomers they tell you to go somewhere else - why because they know they are wrong and steal your money ! They charged me 15 dollars extra supposedly for the plastic gloves they wear — I’m laughing so hard! Lucky for my doggy I have a new better least expensive, loving , caring vet that don’t kick me out of the room to examine my doggie! Lexington vets ya should have kept your miserable 11 dollars and not send me your unprofessional letter “ find another vet “ duh ! Rude people !
