There are several key features that make Park La Brea Veterinary Care a standout choice for pet owners in Los Angeles.
Exceptional Staff and Attentive Care: Our team is consistently praised for their professionalism, patience, and attentiveness. A client's review highlights how a doctor, referred to as Dr. S., took the time to answer all questions, explain things thoroughly, and even provided printed materials for future reference. This level of personalized care makes a significant difference.
Thorough Diagnostic Skills: Unlike other vets who may overlook subtle signs, our veterinarians are meticulous in their examinations. A testament to this is the story of a chihuahua whose long-standing ear infection was finally diagnosed on the spot at our clinic, after other vets had missed it. This attention to detail can be life-changing for your pet.
Gentle and Compassionate Handling: We understand that some pets, particularly those with specific anxieties or unique physical traits, require extra care. A review specifically mentioned how Jacob, a staff member, was "so careful and gentle" while performing a nail trim on a chihuahua with an abnormal dewclaw, a task that other professionals found difficult. This gentle approach ensures a positive experience for your pet.
Long-Term Client Relationships: The practice, led by professionals like Dr. Rattan, has a history of building long-lasting relationships with clients. One reviewer mentioned bringing their pets to us for "many years," highlighting Dr. Rattan’s responsiveness and the team's kindness. This longevity speaks to the consistent quality of our care and the trust we have earned in the community.
Comprehensive Services: The combination of veterinary services and professional grooming under one roof is a major highlight. It offers unparalleled convenience, allowing you to handle your pet's health and hygiene needs in a single visit, saving you time and effort.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Truly a fantastic vet! My 8 lb 8 yr. old chihuahua needed her annual wellness checkup, a vaccine, and a nail trim. After doing some research, I decided to schedule an appointment with Park La Brea, who were able to see me almost immediately.Doctor S. was so professional, patient, and attentive to both me and my puppy. She took the time to answer my silly questions, explain things thoroughly, and printed out materials and resources for me, as well. She even caught an ear infection that my dog has had for years, despite me specifically asking other vets if the build up in her ear was normal, none even bothered to test it. They diagnosed it on the spot and provided me with the medicine.Jacob also took really great care of my tiny doggy. Typically, she really doesn’t like having her nails cut and others have had a hard time taking care of her abnormal dewclaw, but he did a really fantastic job. He was so careful and gentle with her the entire time.So happy to have found this gem, I feel so relieved knowing that I can entrust the care of my precious puppy to such a great team.
June 14 · Honey BlakemanI’ve been bringing my pets to Dr. Rattan and his wonderful staff for many years, and I can’t say enough great things about the care they provide. Dr. Rattan is incredibly responsive—especially when I need answers quickly—and his team is always kind, attentive, and professional. I can be pretty demanding at times, but I always feel reassured knowing my beloved pets are in such capable and compassionate hands. Francois Pierre and I say thank you Dr. Rattan.
June 25 · Christine KleinWe have had Park La Brea Vet as our vet for a few years. They are incredible. I’ve seen all the vets and they all take their time to care about and for my little ones. The staff is phenomenal handling my babies with love. I’ve been to other vets and PLBV are by far superior. They have the resources, the knowledge, the doctors, staff, love, and kindness taking great care of my fur family.
February 11 · Michael CornacchiaEveryone is nice and caring. My cat feels comfortable and calm whenever we are there. No complaints!
August 13 · Bruna FernandesI sadly have to change my review from 5 to ZERO (0/5 stars) since this experience. Poor management. Paid $160 for grooming a small dog , I didn’t ask for a buzz cut, eye was bleeding and nails not cut. Tried to up charge me for a med dog when my dog is under 20lbs. Until I made a fuss they charged me reg price which in total still was outrageous price of $160. My dogs chart says hostile dog for 4 paragraphs. He’s a small fufu dog. Administrated drugs to keep pup calm - additional charge - They went against my wishes. Of course he’s not calm if you poke him in eye. Had him 5 hours. This pup lives with a child and is friendly to the 2yo’s on block as well as an elders up the street. Hence why I want him Fluffy. Plus he itches without some Fur. It’s a preference. I understand most like short. My dog doesn’t like short hair and it’s irritating for him and when I cut I have to get meds for itching. A loop. He has curly hair so he naturally looks messy. Sorry but I want his natural hair. And I know the groomer excuse is going to be “his hair was very matted”. No. This is not true. It’s his natural hair. Big difference. You can tell from other low reviews this is something they say often to unsatisfied clients.Zero reference of biting a human ever. He doesn’t like this vet/ for obvious reason. I asked to speak to owner of vet - he said no. I was extremely upset with my experience.
