Village House Call Vet Introduce
For New Yorkers, the bond with a pet is a special one, and ensuring their health and happiness is a top priority. However, the urban environment can make traditional vet visits a stressful ordeal for both you and your furry friend. Navigating busy streets, enduring car rides, and waiting in crowded clinics can cause significant anxiety. This is where Village House Call Vet steps in, offering a unique and deeply compassionate solution. This isn't your typical veterinary clinic; it's a dedicated mobile veterinary service that brings high-quality, professional care directly to your doorstep. Led by the highly-praised Dr. Carolyn Quagliata, this service is designed to provide comprehensive care in the one place your pet feels most comfortable: their own home. It’s a game-changer for pets who are fearful of travel or the clinic environment, and for owners who appreciate the convenience and personalized attention of a home visit.
The entire concept of Village House Call Vet is built around the well-being of the animal. As one client's heartfelt review about their cat, George, perfectly illustrates, the stress of a vet office can be overwhelming for some pets. The reviews consistently highlight Dr. Quagliata's and her assistant Kayla's ability to provide "comfortable, delicate, and thorough care at home," allowing pets to be at ease. This approach not only improves the quality of the veterinary experience but can also lead to more accurate diagnoses and better health outcomes, as the vet can assess the pet in its natural environment. The team’s empathy is evident in every interaction, from routine check-ups to the most difficult moments, such as end-of-life care. Dr. Quagliata's kindness and compassion during a pet's last moments are frequently noted by grieving owners, who are grateful for the peace and dignity she helps provide. This personal and humane approach is what makes Village House Call Vet a truly exceptional service in the city.
Village House Call Vet offers a wide range of services that are surprisingly comprehensive for a mobile practice. The practice’s commitment to integrative medicine, including acupuncture and cold laser therapy, showcases a modern and holistic approach to pet health. Furthermore, they are a Fear Free certified provider, which means they are specifically trained to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in animals during veterinary visits. This expertise is a major advantage for New York pet owners, particularly those with sensitive or nervous pets. Their services also include telemedicine consultations and an online pharmacy, providing an integrated and accessible healthcare experience that is perfectly suited for the demands of city life.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I can't honestly say enough good things about Dr. Quagliata and Kayla. They cared for my cat George for the last three or four years of his life. Poor little guy had just had enough of vet offices. Dr. Q and Kayla showed him comfortable, delicate, and thorough care at home, where he was most comfortable. I sincerely believe that, without Dr. Q, George would not have lived as long as he did. Dr. Q was here for George's last moments and was compassionate, kind, and caring, and George passed peacefully in my lap. She even did so much to comfort me in my deep grief. I am truly grateful to Dr. Quagliata and Kayla for greatly improving the quality of George's life, and for just being such lovely people.
February 01 · Laurel DuvallDr. Q knows what it takes to be the vet we all need! Caring, smart, empathetic and ensuring our pet feels comfortable in their safe place - home. I don't know what I would do without her for my little Lucy!
November 04 · Jamie KeaneDr. Quagliata is one of the most skilled and compassionate veterinarians I've ever seen. What impresses me the most about her is the sheer amount of time she invests in each individual client, even after the appointment is over. Dr. Q. treats her clients like dear friends, while also being a firm advocate for the health and happiness of her patients. You won't find a team that provides more exceptional care than Village House Call Vet, all while taking away the normal stressors that come with having to go to a brick and mortar hospital!
November 04 · William LentzWe recently received our quarantine puppy Mabel, she arrived on a weekend where my Husband was out of town, and I was not prepared! Dr.Q came to our house to do an exam, ran a few tests and made me feel so comfortable with our new little love in record time. We have never had an in home visit (we have another dog, Charlie) and I can’t say enough good things about what an incredible experience it was, especially in these challenging times. Dr. Q was prepared for anything and made me feel so informed and educated. I feel so fortunate to have had such a great experience and to have a trusted partner for questions and advice!
November 14 · Sandy GilsenanDr Quagliata was my puppy’s vet from the moment I brought her home until the day I had to say goodbye. She is compassionate, honest, professional and responsive. I was lucky to be able to rely on her throughout my dogs life. Of course she was the first vet I went to when I got my new dog!
