★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Update: The clinic posted on my review that the manager “tried to call” me. I have no missed calls or voicemails from them, and they confirmed on our call that they had my correct number. When I returned the call, the manager, Lucas, acknowledged the visit was not handled well but was dismissive and at times rude. He stated the follow-up should have been billed as a recheck, yet still refused to refund the first visit despite no exam being performed. This confirmed my decision not to return.Do not go here with scared pets.I brought my medically complex cat in for an urgent eye issue and was shocked at how unprofessionally we were treated. She has a history of needing careful handling, as her breed is known to be anxious. Instead of examining her, the vet refused to treat her because she was “too hyper.” They handed me an ointment without even checking her eye, told me to sedate her before coming back a week later not only during the day, but in the evening prior , and confirmed I’d be charged another full visit fee. She’s slightly overdue on her rabies vaccine since her original vet’s office closed. When I asked if they could at least look at her while in the carrier (something her previous vet often did), I was told no because they didn’t think she would tolerate it. The reality is, she does very well in her carrier during appointments. Dr. Gilbert was clearly inexperienced and unqualified to handle her.I was charged $136 for nothing more than a refusal. When I questioned this, I was told I’d still be charged again at the next visit. That’s completely unacceptable especially as a new patient with a sick cat and no preparation or care plan offered by the clinic.I should also mention that when I scheduled the appointment, I specifically told the receptionist about my cat’s behavior and that I would be medicating her to keep her calm. I even walked into this clinic last week to ask if they had experience with Savannah cats, explained her needs, and was told, “Oh, it’s not a problem we handle big dogs; we can definitely handle her.” Clearly, Dr. Gilbert cannot. On top of this, Dr. Gilbert criticized me for feeding a raw diet, stating that cats on raw “often develop worse allergies.” This claim is not evidence-based and felt dismissive of the careful, informed approach I’ve taken to manage her complex health issues including a history of poor response to commercial foods. If your pet is anxious, medically fragile, or needs thoughtful care, this is not the place for you. They are not equipped or willing to accommodate special-needs animals, and I will not be returning.

July 16 · J SPieper Veterinary has consistently provided exceptional care for our cat, Phoebe. Our experiences at both their regular and emergency offices have been outstanding. The staff is not only knowledgeable but also incredibly compassionate, making us feel reassured that our little Phoebe is in the best hands possible. Their attention to detail and genuine love for animals shine through in every visit. We couldn't be more grateful for the stellar service and support they offer. Highly recommended!
February 19 · Cristey CabralI initially thought that this veterinarian was great until the issues came. Let me start off by saying first they fed my dog cheese whiz, artificial cheese out of a can. I have a French bulldog and anyone who has one knows that They have very sensitive stomachs, what other dogs can handle they can’t. Being a veterinarian, I thought that would be pretty obvious. Intuitively I wanted to say something at the moment, but I understood the reason for doing it, a form of distraction while examining the animal. They then proceeded to tell me that my dog needed bloodwork, which I was completely fine with. I did make them aware before hand that my dog suffers from anxiety and gets scared for things, let me just say that I don’t think that they are people who are experienced with animals who have special needs. which is also something that I read from a previous review from someone else. Not only did they take my dog to the back where I don’t know what was fed to him or what was done to him. He started screaming where the whole building could hear him. Yes, my dog has anxiety, but my dog does not scream for nothing. Shortly after that, we left and made another appointment to return again and attempt to do bloodwork at another time given the fact that my dog would be under medication the second time around I was also fine with. Later on that same day, my dog begin to have diarrhea, constant diarrhea. His appointment was on a Saturday. It was Tuesday and he still had diarrhea which is when I decided to call the Vet back and let them know what happened. The office manager, Luke proceeded to tell me that there was a VERY GOOD Chance that my dog had gotten sick from the Cheese whiz that was giving to him, but there was truly no way to determine. They wanted me to return back again, pay for another visit and pay for more medication to be given to my dog when the problem that occurred with my Dog had begin due to them, feeding him artificial Things out of a can which I have never in my life seen a veterinarian do. A dog treat her too. Yes that’s understandable but artificial food that comes out of a can I would’ve thought they’d be more smarter than that. I have had numerous dogs throughout my life this is not my first rodeo. When I first called, the receptionist told me that I can come in with my dog for evening appointment at 7 PM. When I was transferred to Luke, he told me that there was no longer any appointments for that day. He gave me a very hard time and did not work with me on anything on top of that I was charged for a problem that they created and refused to take Responsibility for. Luke was very insensitive about my situation and cared only about making money. Not only did this whole situation occur, but they overcharged me on my first appointment and had to credit me back $95 which Luke made the decision to pay with the medicine off of my credit and didn’t make me aware until after the fact if you care about your animals, please do not bring them to this place Because they do not care about animals well-being. They care about the money aspect and that is very clear. Horrible place horrible customer service would not recommend at all. After I gave Luke a piece of my mind about how I felt about the whole situation, he didn’t proceeded to tell me that I was dismissed from the practice, which I didn’t care because I wasn’t going back Please do not bring Your dogs are any animal that you care about here
