The most compelling factor is the hospital's unwavering commitment to compassionate and timely care, a sentiment powerfully captured in client testimonials. One recurring theme in reviews is the deep appreciation for the hospital's availability during a holiday weekend, when other facilities had "10 hour waiting periods." The ability of Dr. Taksir to provide phone guidance and create an appointment within a few hours for a pet in need is a testament to their patient-first philosophy.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was very appreciative that Dr. Taksir was available on Sunday of a holiday weekend to first guide me by phone, then create an appointment within a few hours to see my cat. He was very upfront about costs and options I could pursue and allowed me time to think about it before making decisions. He and staff were kind and he did his best to assess my cat's issue (my cat is not cooperative). The office is a bit outdated but that was insignificant to the speed in which I was given an appointment and service (the other Albany Animal Hospitals open on Sunday had 10 hour waiting periods). I would recommend Dr. Taksir!

July 09 · Kelly CrisfieldI went to another vet in the area for my cat a few weeks ago (ears bloody and full of wax). They wrongly diagnosed him, made me come back the next day because they couldn't control him, and they completely drained my wallet.I went to this vet instead as the other vet did not treat my cat properly and his ears got worse. I had an amazing experience and definitely will not go back to the other vet. This vet was cheaper, correctly diagnosed and medicated my cat, cleaned and shaved his ears, and even cut his nails on the house. Not to mention, the vet was so funny and extremely friendly. I couldn't be happier and will definitely go to him whenever I need a vet for my cats. Thank you Doc!!

May 23 · Shannen CarrollWe brought our kitty Emily in for a state mandated rabies shot - (yes, she is an indoor cat.) It was our first visit here, and we couldn't have been more impressed. We were warmly greeted by the lovely receptionist, then met Dr. Taksin. He was kind, friendly, very knowledgeable and considerate. He spent a lot of time with us advising the best way to care for our old girl. He is conservative, gentle, old school and concerned about the health of animals. His relaxed demeanor and dry sense of humor was a pleasure to experience. We will recommend him to all of our pets owners, and we will be back.

September 07 · hollyhclarkGreat veterinarian. Dr. Taksir is very thorough, takes his time to ensure he has covered everything that you've brought your pet in for. He then tells you why the ailment may have occurred to prevent it from reoccurring. He then treats it and explains how and why while he does, then educates you on how to maintain treatment on your own. Doesn't push any unnecessary treatments or tests, appropriate pricing. 10/10, will be my dog's permanent vet. If you are local go check him out, you won't regret it.
February 27 · Ryan GreeneWould give 0 stars if possible. I just left this office. Very disappointed with the obvious money grabs and lack oflistening on the part of this vet. I have a very healthy 13 yeat old mid size dog. I live on a farm and am veryinformed when it comes to animal care and health. Occasionally I need to see a vet because obviously I am not able toobtain any scripts without Vet. So I brought my healthy dog here because occasionally she plays a little too hard withmy younger dog and her back leg gets a little sore. Typically I give her a previcox and the next morning she is perfectagain. So I ran out of this and needed to get established closer to my new home. I explained all of this to the vet andhe proceeded to try to charge me for nearly $500 for things that my dog did not need in any way.
