August 23 · April CruzI recently utilized the grooming services at petco were Connie the groomer took my dog, Shadow, who can be anxious at times but, Connie's expertise and compassionate approach significantly alleviated his stress. August 14 · Michelle ValdezI've never felt so dismissed in my life. It was like because the Dr (asian woman with bright pink hair, i think dr tran and monica was the assistant) and assistant knew i wasn't going to be paying for the visit, they didn't want to help at all. The only reason I wasn't paying for the visit was because PETCO sent me a coupon for my first visit being free AFTER i made the appt. So they wanted to charge me 300 for a urinalysis for my 9 week old kitten because i think she has a UTI. I told them I needed to go home and talk with my husband about the cost but asked if there was any advice they could give me in the mean time for my kittens comfort. All they said was take her to the urgent care of she stops urinating altogether and told me to cut her nails. :/ It was the weirdest vet visit i've ever had and i've had cats and kittens most of my 47 years on this planet. I felt judged in their line of questioning as far as HOW i got the kitten, and i didn't even understand why those questions - daughters friend's cat got prego and we took one when they were 8 weeks old. Dr asked, oh did she just sneak out and get preg? I said i guess. Dr said, so we don't know who the father is - umm, obviously. Never in all my vet visits have I been asked these kind of questions. Look, my cats are fixed and I was helping my daughter's friend out by taking a kitten off her hands. Needless to say, I will not be going back here and I def will not recommend. I would have cont to go here and brought my others cats for check ups but they suck. There also seemed to be no compassion towards my kitten, no interest or anything. i've never seen a vet be so cold to their patient. they didn't even talk about vaccines for my 9 week old or anything.
May 22 · Christina FordI have 2 fur babies both senior, one female cat and one male dog that I have cared for by Dr. Tran and her team at Vetco Signal Hill. In the last 6 months, my kitty has had nasal and respiratory issues and my pup developed stones in his bladder. After too many months of them suffering and me trying herbal products, and other vets, their conditions worsened. I went to Dr. Tran, who spent an hour with me, without charging, to discuss options for them - testing and meds for the kitty and surgery for Max the pup. The cost was less than half of a specialist and once Dr Tran and her staff took the time and explained the whole process, and we conducted a senior blood panel for Max to ensure his health pre-surgery, I scheduled it. The kitty was diagnosed with a bacterial infection, given antibiotics which cleared up months of her coughing and sneezing. Max's surgery was a complete success, as he is a new dog with new energy, and bladder habits that I have never seen be so normal! Dr. Tran is a caring, "take one step at a time" vet and has the perfect bedside manner you need when your fur babies are ill. Her staff is attentive and responsive and always returned calls and texts with every question or concern I had through this process. I highly recommend Dr. Tran and her staff at Vetco Signal Hill for all of your pets' care. Hands down 5 Stars!
June 04 · Laura LamandoWe had a great visit here with our fur baby (cat). Everyone was super nice and we really like the vet and staff. The Petco store had a dog training class happening while we were at the animal hospital. It gave the experience a community feel that I really liked. We’ll definitely be back.
