One was under 10lbs so no extra charge, but one was 12 lbs, so they charged extra for that. Then they told us the full grooming would include nail trimming, but if you wanted them buffed, we would pay extra for that too. Then we clarified about the dogs having an anal gland expression, they said it was included. However, when we got home the dog was and has still been butt scooting. We called the store and they said they did perform the service. We shared that the dog was still butt scooting. They said the dog may need an internal gland expression, but we were never told there is a difference between an external and an internal anal gland expression. They said this can only be performed by a Veterinarian but even that can’t be done until the dog has had a regular exam. We feel deceived because they never said anything about an internal versus an external gland expression. When I called the store to discuss, they told me we were told this when we picked up the dogs which is not a true statement. It’s false. We were not told anything of the sort. The $28 price for each ended up being double that of what we were quoted and we didn’t get the service we thought we were getting for the dogs. SUCH DECEPTION!! JUST BE HONEST WITH CUSTOMERS and please save the “we’re sorry for your bad experience.” If you were honest to begin with, YOU’D NEVER HAVE TO SAY YOU'RE SORRY. Just make it Right for your customers. When you do, they’ll keep coming back. TRANSPARENCY AND HONESTY ARE THE BEST POLICY. Truly feel deceived and taken advantage of. I won’t go back!!
May 18 · EstherGreat store. Great selection. Had to wait awhile for assistance with fish and plants. Only had 2 employees and both were on the register with a long line. So waited quite awhile and then stood in line awhile to pay. Took an hour of my time when I thought it would be in and out.
July 08 · Niki PetersenJanet the manager was incredibly rude this morning. Walked in right when they opened and she looked at me and turned around like she was annoyed. Then I went to the register and still didnt greet me just told me to go to the first register to be rung up. She asked me to put my phone number in when I was trying to fix the cart to make it easier for her to scan, she then told me to leave it and I don’t need to do that- again as if I was bothering her. She told me I would have to wait because the computer is slow in the beginning of the day. I said ok, she walked away- again no friendliness whatsoever. She told me the total and I asked about the coupon they were offering, I said it’s on the sign over there and she said “ I know I’m just looking to see if food qualifies” I told her I had used it on food last week, she told me my new total with the coupon and then said oh you said you used it already so I’m taking it off since it’s one per person. I was put off by that, she said that it’s petcos rules. She acted like it was coming out of her pocket. I know Janet did it on purpose because I tried to tell her how to do her job. I confronted her and she brushed me off that she wasn’t being rude that she just came back from leave and that she just opened the store. I told her I was suprised she’s a manager with her poor customer service. I asked her why she cared if I used the coupon once before if it worked when she scanned, who cares? She said petco will flag her and get her in trouble- sounds like petcos problem if the code worked- she would have never of known if I didn’t say anything. She had a bad attitude and a power trip just because she could. Don’t work in customer service if you aren’t friendly, especially a manager. How embarrassing. I returned the dog food because of her poor customer service.
