★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Banfield Pet Hospital is one of the most amazing veterinary clinics I have ever been to! The staff up front was kind and so welcoming! Adriana, located at the front desk, was sweet as can be and beyond patient with my family's needs and the doctor, Maria Smeriglio, was just a phenomenal bright light through an otherwise scary time. She was genuine, happy, and made the experience much less questionable and foreboding. She helped to ease my worries and made sure that I felt confident in the care my beloved fur baby was receiving. Not only is the staff super friendly and the establishment clean and tidy, but it is clear that their main focus is on the animals care, not to price gouge those who are already struggling. I have never come across such a caring facility in all my life and can not wait to bring my other feline to them for her next annual exam.Thank you Banfield Pet Hospital!!!!!
August 04 · Rosie Marie⭐️⭐️ (2 stars)I’m giving two stars due to a mix of concerning experiences. First, during one visit, my dog came back with a hurt paw. On top of that, I received a call from the front desk telling me they close at 5:15pm—even though the doctor had just told me they close at 6pm. When I mentioned I planned to pick up at 5:30, the staff member insisted they’d be closed, and when I brought up what the doctor said, she quickly backtracked. The tone of the call felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional.I do want to acknowledge that the doctor called personally to discuss one of my dog’s liver levels, which I appreciated and found reassuring. However, in a previous visit, my dog returned missing her front teeth. I was told they “just fell out,” but I can’t help but wonder if something else happened—perhaps she tried to bite someone and the teeth were pulled. The lack of transparency has left me uneasy. While I appreciate the vet’s attention to my dog's health, the overall communication and experience with the staff have raised enough concerns that I’m not sure I’ll be returning.
April 09 · Claudia BrazPlease stay away from this place. Dr. Caitlin Underdahl has no business being a veterinarian. She is self-righteous, does not listen, and is downright rude (see details below).I took my cat to get two urine tests and Dr. Underdahl called me 8 days later and and had the front desk receptionist leave me a voicemail message stating that the results were ready and that they were sent to the specialist and that would he reach out to me on the next steps.I spent more than $260 for these exams and she did not even have the courtesy to speak with me about the results. I called the office back and explained to Dr. Underdahl that I did not appreciate her not calling me to give me the test results and she said that it my prerogative and that "we" had agreed that the results would be sent to the specialist and that that he would subsequently speak with me. The notes that her staff took were not accurate because as the pet owner I am the one who decides what the next steps are. She kept me off during the conversation, as she often does.Furthermore, Dr. Underdahl's attitude reflected very little care, so I told her that she is a "horrible vet" and that I would not be taking my pet to her clinic ever again. She said that I am a "terrible client" and that I am not welcome back to her clinic.Needless to say, I will cancel my yearly membership with Banfield, and I hope that every other member follows suit. I hope that this call was recorded for quality assurance purposes because quality is something that Dr. Underdahl does not provide.Lastly, my cat came back home with a cut on his nose when he went in for the urine exam. I called last Friday to check up on the test results and asked the front desk receptionist what happened, and she said that he probably scratched his nose in the carrier. It might have been something that was done intentionally to my cat, based on other reviews, which is very concerning.
September 02 · John G.We use this place because of financial reasons. But all I can say is don’t trust them at all for my Dogs needs . They lie and never a pleasant experience. When the vet explains what they did for your pet and you ask him or her about his preexisting conditions they like mind blown 🤯. If you go here ask questions and don’t let them upsale you nothing your dog doesn’t need . Always ask for a second opinion
July 03 · Angel AcevedoUnfortunately twice I had to have a pet euthanized in the last 3 years, and both times the staff was AMAZING. So caring and respectful. I got to say goodbye in a loving way. I’ve been using them for my pets care for several years. Dr. Underthal is just great. Staff is polite, friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Norwalk location for sure. I would NEVER recommend Stamford location…ever.
