Sound Paws is an excellent vet and therapy for pets. My dog is semi-paralyzed. We took her there for her evaluation and then for a 3-hr therapy session with all facets of it; to find out her strengths and weaknesses. My husband tried for quite a while to find out exactly what they did and he said he felt rushed...to pay the invoice and schedule her follow-up appointments. Once he found out that the sessions we're $170/1-hr, he said he'd have his wife call and do the scheduling. I tried 3 times, leaving voicemail messages, and never got a response. I really wanted to take her there, but it's very very expensive and they didn't seem to want to work out something a little cheaper. It's a shame because it probably would have helped her out. So now, we do exercises at home. Someday we'll have some more money to get her a little extra help. Try them out, but be warned...they are very expensive. - Kimberly “Kim” Carlona

Why is Sound Paws Canine Physical Rehabilitation and Conditioning a worthwhile choice for pet owners in Connecticut? While some may be concerned about the cost, as mentioned in a customer review, it's important to consider the value of specialized, expert care. This clinic offers a level of focused, rehabilitation-specific treatment that is not available at a typical animal hospital. They provide targeted therapies like aquatic therapy, laser treatments, and custom rehabilitation plans that can significantly improve a dog's quality of life, mobility, and recovery from serious conditions or surgeries. For dogs with chronic pain, hip dysplasia, or post-surgical needs, the specialized knowledge of a rehabilitation therapist is invaluable. The initial evaluation helps pinpoint a dog's specific needs, leading to a customized plan that general at-home exercises might not be able to replicate. Although the cost may be a factor for some, the potential for a better, more active life for a beloved pet is a compelling reason to consider this specialized care. For many, the investment in professional rehabilitation is a direct investment in their dog's long-term health and happiness.
