★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First time with my pet and they treated her so well. It was late at night and I did not want to wait till morning for her to be seen. The staff was very professional and explained everything to me. I would highly recommend. They were busy with other dogs but I feel like they did the best and my dog received the best treatment.
August 15 · Kathleen MilwardThe service at the blue Pearl was excellent! From the time you walked through the door you were welcomed. The receptionist was exceptional she was very pleasant and informative about the services they provide; The medical staff was the same as well. They listened carefully and paid-attention to your pet during conversations To get a better understanding of what you’re referring to in regards to the behavior of the animal .They are not like most hospitals where you have to wait hours and hours at a time Before your acknowledged to be seen. They come right out to you. Depending on your circumstance, you may have to wait a bit Once your dog is in the sterile room. but just to get the dog in, (it’s almost like as soon as you walk in your dog is in the back to be seen.) I feel comfortable suggesting that if your pet needs Emergencycare, this would be the place to go. They are in a discreet location. The cleanliness of the facility was well maintained. There is a parking lot connected to hospital. No parking fee. and finally, this hospital does NOT take exotic animals. IT ONLY TAKES CATS AND DOGS!! Thank you Blue Pearl for helping me with my fur baby, I thought I was going to lose my mind but your Team were able to assist in all levels, so again Thank you.Cynthia Coleman
September 03 · Cynthia ColemanWe brought Lobster, our 11 year old pittie, to Dr. Cleveland at the recommendation of Tufts. Our boy has a tumor, and I had a consult with Dr. Cleveland to discuss options. While the outcome of the consult was news we were very sad about, I cannot even begin to describe how compassionate, understanding, thorough, and wonderful Dr. Cleveland was. I didn’t feel stupid as I blubbered through the consult, and he left me feeling completely informed of every option, even if I chose the one he didn’t necessarily recommend. No one wants to receive bad news about a beloved pet, but I will forever be grateful for how our experience was handled. We are planning to bring Lobster back for a pain treatment, and we could not be more comfortable with our decision. When you love your animals, trust is everything when it comes to their health. I am very grateful for the experience we had.
July 16 · Kathleen BlairBrought my cat in while very concerned about toxic plant exposure. They saw her **immediately**, and told me in the meantime to check with an online plant identification group about what exactly my cat had been exposed to. Within minutes, the group they suggested had identified the plant as one of the NON-toxic lily species. I notified the vet, who had done a very brief exam on my cat, and they determined she was clear to go home. They didn't even charge me.Overall very impressed and grateful at the speed with which they see acute animal patients (both mine and others), their helpfulness in dealing with the circumstances and plant identification, and their willingness to forego charges given that no significant vet care had been required.Photo of stupid cat attached.
July 23 · J CThe only ER/specialist vet I will ever take my cats to. Since 2022, BluePearl Charlestown has gotten my two young cats through a hip dislocation, pancreatitis and unexplained chronic severe diarrhea and vomiting. I’ve been to over 5 different vet ERs and unfortunately I have lost trust with some veterinarians, vet techs, and vet “philosophies” across chains. BluePearl Charlestown has regained my trust and confidence in veterinary care in the greater Boston area. They are organized, clean and it is clear there is great communication among staff. Whether I am high priority or low priority in their triage system, the staff is transparent and offer constant updates so I know my pet and other pets there are getting the best care. In May 2025, Dr. Lexi Souther and other vets worked hard to save my boy Moncho from a surgery after displacing his hip while on a walk; he’s recovered well, 1 week to go in the crate! In January 2023, my other boy Ollie had chronic vomiting and diarrhea after a two week stay at a cattery. After a long set of testing and other treatments by other vets pursuing other diagnoses despite my concerns of him picking up something at the cattery, my second cat also got sick and developed pancreatitis. Dr. Carrie Cavett listened to all my concerns and suspected both had an infection, which she treated and they recovered so quickly. The vets have always followed up on my cats, even after care transfer through shift changes. BluePearl staff care about their patients and their families.
