★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The staff at Cranston Animal Hospital are kind, I appreciate the professionalism and the clean, welcoming environment. However, they are not flexible with payment options, especially for community members going through tough financial hard times. As a community advocate we need more places that are flexible. Veterinary care is expensive, and not offering any form of payment plans can be really challenging for pet owners in urgent situations. Even basic services like nail trimming are priced on the higher side—around $30—which can add up quickly.I believe that offering more accessible options would make a big difference for many loving pet owners in the community.
July 13 · remi JonesI had a fantastic annual check up and few days later my poor baby has kennel cough, hasn’t ever had it none of my dogs and they don’t leave the house. After spending a crazy amount already week before now I have to dish out even more money because “they don’t know he got kennel cough from there” insinuating I’m lying when he doesn’t go anywhere but his own home and my other two dogs are fine..the lady also of course “wasn’t there” I needed to speak to and this lady kept going back and forth just to tell me I have to pay, if I don’t get a call and reimbursed for YOU getting my dog sick I won’t be bringing my dog back again and I will let everyone know he got kennel cough from your “hospital” I am heartbroken everytime I hear him cough, up all night worried about him! Unacceptable accountability needs to be taken !! Also understand money is tough!!
August 18 · Amanda ColleenI moved to RI from Puerto Rico about 6 months ago. I have a 5 year old female pitbull that tends to be very reactive to other dogs and sometimes even people. When we moved, she had to go through a cargo flight because no commercial airline would accept pitbulls. And then she had to travel with a stranger from Miami to RI where we finally reconnected. It must have been traumatizing for her because she had GI bleeding and uncontrollable diarrhea when she got to me, something that is uncommon for her. I called one morning and they took her immediately at Cranston Animal Hospital due to a cancellation they had and they saw my pup. I am always anxious of taking her to the vet because of the probability of other animals in the waiting room, and because I don’t know how she’ll react to the staff. As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me with smiles, and they had no other animals in the waiting area. If I recall correctly, I think they schedule this way to avoid animals from interacting with each other and avoid potential confrontations. Laila immediately fell in love with all of the staff. They examined her and the vet prescribed her some GI medications and a special low fat diet that after about a week and a half, she was pooping normally again! I went again today to trim her nails and, again, there were no other animals in the waiting area, and she, again, was happy and cooperative as can be with the staff. The technician greeted her and Laila immediately cuddled with her as if they were lifelong friends. I don’t have anything negative to say about this place. They give courtesy calls the a day or two before to remind you of appointments. They are transparent. And they will take great care of your pet. I have found their pricing is also reasonable and comparable to other vets as well.
December 12 · Esteban Martinez FranciaOnce we walked in we were greeted with “you are late you will be charged a late fee” instead of a welcoming greeting. We did not feel welcomed at first. However, the vet, and 3 other techs were amazing. This is why I will still give a five stars. They made our kitten feel welcomed and comfortable which was the most important part of the visit. After we were addressed they still answered our questions with no issues. We are grateful and definitely recommend it! Thank you!
February 27 · Rosie EsquivelHad a great first visit with my rambunctious husky!!! The entire staff was pleasant kind and understanding that my pup was coming to their office for his first visit there!! Cost was right in line with most vets if not better!! Overall I feel we made a great choice switching to Cranston animal hospital!! I’d recommend to any and everyone!!!
