Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital Introduce
For pet owners in Rhode Island, ensuring our beloved companions receive the best possible veterinary care is a top priority. In the capital city of Providence, a new name in animal healthcare has been making a significant impact: Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital. Located conveniently within a Petco store, this animal hospital offers a unique and comprehensive approach to pet wellness. Unlike simple vaccination clinics, Vetco Total Care is equipped to handle a wide range of health needs, from preventative care to complex diagnostics, all under one roof. This integrated model provides a seamless experience for pet parents, combining the convenience of a retail store with the expertise of a full-service veterinary hospital.
The hospital's focus is on providing high-quality, compassionate care. The team at Vetco Total Care understands that a pet's health is more than just a series of vaccinations; it's a lifelong journey. Their approach is designed to be thorough and transparent, ensuring that pet owners are fully informed about their animal's condition and treatment options. The positive feedback from clients highlights this commitment to excellence. One review from a customer who was previously let down by another vet stated, "Dr. Cooney is an absolute gem!! I spent thousands on my Lea before I went to Petco. Dr. Cooney took a cray and found her with lots of stones in her bladder. Previous Vet never took an Xray and denied a refill script of gabapentin while my Lea was suffering." This specific example underscores the importance of proper diagnostic care and the relief a thorough examination can bring to a suffering pet and their owner.
Another client praised the professionalism and kindness of the entire staff, stating, "I am always happy and reassured at VETCO North Main Street. Dr. Cooney and the receptionist are are highly qualified and always willing to accommodate my pet. They have always answered my questions and attended to my pets needs." This sense of trust and reassurance is what many pet owners seek in a long-term veterinary partner.

Dr Cooney is an absolute gem!! I spent thousands on my Lea before I went to Petco. Dr Cooney took a cray and found her with lots of stones in her bladder. Previous Vet never took an Xray and denied a refill script of gabapentin while my Lea was suffering. 5 Stars for Petco and their great staff.
July 21 · Rose BroccoliI am always happy and reassured at VETCO North Main Street. Dr Cooney and the receptionist are are highly qualified and always willing to accommodate my pet. They have always answered my questions and attended to my pets needs.
June 27 · Laura LeeYou get people in the door by advertising very reasonable prices that are not honored in person. Very misleading and I would argue fraudulent. I ended up paying a reasonable price, but only because I advocated to have the advertised price honored or walk out. Also called to tell me my dog needed medication, but could not provide me with printed information regarding the prescription. I didn't end up purchasing the medication from Vetco because I found it very unethical that the office could not provide me with dose and pricing information. Also had to wait 30 minutes at the office for technicians to prepare my medication, even though I was told it would be ready for pick up and then had to leave with nothing because no prescription had been prepared. Very sketchy and unprofessional.
August 01 · Shilo FeltonThe surgery that I was so anxious for (bladder stones) was done with care and professionalism and quick! Everything was better than anticipated and affordable. My pup is so much happier and healthier now!
July 11 · Lauren EzovskiNot recommended! Brought our cats to the vaccination clinic and despite being told via phone the day before that they would administer the cat only rabies vaccine, they gave them both the combo (which can cause cancer in cats) and told us after the fact. We knew that there were supply issues, as we previously went to Tractor Supply and did NOT choose the combo vaccine for this specific reason. So, we were excited to follow through with Vetco since they had it in stock. Instead, they lied and gave us the pamphlet after the injections!Customer service is not US-based and you can't contact the vaccination clinic directly. They told me this after 5 phone calls where they pretended to "connect me to the right department" and "let me speak with someone at the Providence store." If you care for your animals, take them somewhere else.
