Gold Coast Mobile Veterinary Care Introduce
For pet owners throughout California, particularly in the sprawling urban landscape of Los Angeles, the final stages of a pet's life are among the most difficult to navigate. The decision to provide end-of-life care or humane euthanasia is a deeply personal and emotional one, and a traditional veterinary clinic setting can often add to the stress. Gold Coast Mobile Veterinary Care offers a uniquely compassionate solution to this challenge. This isn't a typical vet service for annual check-ups or vaccinations. Instead, it is a specialized mobile veterinary practice that focuses on in-home end-of-life care, including quality of life consultations, hospice support, and compassionate euthanasia. By bringing these services directly to your home, they ensure that your beloved pet can spend their final moments in a familiar, comfortable, and stress-free environment, surrounded by the people they love most. The company is identified as a women-owned and Asian-owned business, which speaks to a commitment to diversity and community values that many in California appreciate. The personal touch and profound empathy of the service, as highlighted in numerous testimonials, make it a distinguished choice for those facing this heartbreaking but necessary decision.
The entire philosophy of Gold Coast Mobile Veterinary Care is built around providing a peaceful and dignified transition for pets and a supportive experience for their human families. The detailed customer reviews paint a vivid picture of this approach. The story of Periwinkle, a cherished cat, and Baxter, a dog with oral cancer, are powerful testaments to the care provided by Dr. Au. She is described as having a calming presence and a professional yet deeply caring nature. She takes the time to explain the process in detail, answer questions, and provide reassurance that the pet is not suffering. This level of empathy and respect for both the animal and the family is what sets this service apart. It allows pet parents to grieve and say their goodbyes in a private setting, free from the clinical and rushed atmosphere of a vet's office. The focus is on creating a beautiful and peaceful passing, a final gift of comfort to a loyal companion. Dr. Au’s gentle handling and respectful demeanor, even after a pet has passed, demonstrate a level of professionalism and care that is truly exceptional. She helps alleviate the "what if" questions and reassures owners that they have made the right decision, providing much-needed comfort during a time of immense sorrow.
As a mobile veterinary service, Gold Coast Mobile Veterinary Care does not have a public brick-and-mortar office for in-person visits. Instead, their operations are based out of a mailing address at 9854 National Blvd #500, Los Angeles, CA 90034, USA. This unique structure is a core part of their service model. The address is for mailing purposes only, as all services are performed at the client's home. This eliminates the stress of transporting a sick or elderly pet, which can be particularly challenging and painful for both the animal and the owner. The service area is in and around the Los Angeles region, bringing expert veterinary care directly to your doorstep. For a service of this nature, accessibility is defined not by a physical location, but by its ability to come to you. This provides an immense level of convenience and comfort. The service operates on an appointment-required basis, which allows them to fully prepare for each unique situation and ensure that they can dedicate the necessary time and emotional support to each family. They also identify as an LGBTQ+ friendly business, further underscoring their commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all community members.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Au facilitated a beautiful, peaceful passing for our sweetest cat, Periwinkle. Her expertise, professionalism, and kind nature were evident from the moment she entered our space. She provided information and empathy throughout the entire visit. I’m so grateful to have given my furry daughter loving, gentle relief from a lot of pain, and Dr. Au gave us that more than I could have imagined.
July 12 · Dominick DouglasOur dog Baxter had been diagnosed with oral cancer (fibrosarcoma) 6 months prior and we felt it was time to send him over the rainbow bridge as he was beginning to suffer. It’s the hardest part of being a dog owner and we were dreading saying goodbye to him.We decided for euthanasia at home so Baxter could be in his own bed and surroundings. Dr Au immediately put us at ease and spent a few minutes stroking Baxter and talking to him. She also explained how he could easily have deteriorated further, had we not come to this decision. This was very good to hear and it did somewhat put our minds at rest along with Dr Au’s very calming presence which was much appreciated. She explained in detail how the process would go and was extremely gentle with Baxter throughout. He fell asleep quickly in his own bed and passed shortly afterwards. Dr Au was very respectful of Baxter even following his passing and gently handled his body. She also felt his lymph nodes and said it felt as if the cancer had most likely spread. Another weight off our minds, knowing we had made the right decision for Baxter. What I really liked about Dr Au was her professional and yet caring approach under very emotional circumstances. She moved the procedure along when needed but also gave us the time to properly say goodbye to our boy.We would HIGHLY recommend Dr Au and Gold Cost.
April 27 · James McCourtFrom the moment I saw Dr. Au's picture on her site, I knew I had found the right person. You will not find a more compassionate, gentle, sincere, kind, and qualified person than Dr. Au. I have recommended her countless times, and just this morning, which reminded me that I had not written her a review. Consider yourself blessed if you have come upon her name. I also only have good things to say about Tommy, with whom I corresponded; he was equally as wonderful in his role in handling the appointment through to the transmission of my dear Sunny's remains. Thank you, Dr. Au. You are a wonderful human being.
August 06 · Dina BrownIt's never easy as a pet guardian when you have to make the decision to ease your pet's suffering. Tommy and Dr. Au were wonderful and compassionate with both the scheduling process and visit. They answered all our questions and were able to help us give our boy a peaceful sendoff in the comfort of home surrounded by his family.
March 08 · Kathrin MeyerI am incredibly grateful for Dr. Au and the compassionate service she provided during one of the most difficult moments of my life. My 17-year-old soul kitty declined rapidly after a long battle of CKD. Dr. Au responded the same day and arrived within just a few hours of my requested appointment. From the moment she walked in, her presence was calm, kind, and so respectful. She took the time to explain every step of the process and created an environment that felt peaceful and dignified. Her compassion helped ease both my cat’s transition and my heartbreak.Dr. Au truly made an unbearable experience more bearable, and I will always be thankful for the care and support she provided.
