Choosing VCA Venture Animal Hospital is a decision that comes with both pros and cons, which are important for any California pet owner to consider. On one hand, the hospital offers the substantial backing of the VCA network, providing access to a wealth of medical knowledge, advanced technology, and comprehensive wellness plans like the VCA CareClub. The expertise of their veterinarians and the wide array of services, including advanced dental care and surgery, make them a capable choice for all of your pet's health needs. However, the client reviews highlight some potential areas for improvement, particularly regarding communication and customer service, especially after payment is made. One client's frustration with the front desk's unresponsiveness and a sense of being an "inconvenience" after a visit are valid concerns that a prospective client should be aware of. While the medical care may be excellent, as noted by the gentle handling of a pet, the overall client experience is also a crucial part of a veterinary relationship. For pet parents who prioritize clear communication and a seamless administrative process, it may be worth getting all questions answered and documents in hand before leaving. Ultimately, for those seeking a well-equipped, knowledgeable team with the resources to handle a wide range of medical needs, VCA Venture Animal Hospital remains a strong contender, provided clients are prepared to navigate potential communication challenges. The hospital’s long-standing presence in the community and commitment to high standards of medical care are solid reasons to consider them for your pet's health.

VCA Venture Animal Hospital Reviews
Dr. Tarazi was really sweet and gentle with my pet, and I appreciated how accommodating she was during the initial visit. However, once I paid, the level of attentiveness shifted. I asked the nurse for a copy of the initial treatment plan, and she brushed me off, saying, “I actually have another patient right now, so you’ll have to wait.” I then asked the front desk if I could speak with Dr. Tarazi again — they called her and let her know I was waiting in the lobby, but she never came back out.At that point, my questions essentially felt like an inconvenience to the staff — it was very apparent, which is sad. I understand that it’s a busy practice, but as a pet parent, I deserve the opportunity to ask follow-up questions and receive documentation, even after payment. So just a heads-up: make sure to get all your questions answered and paperwork in hand before you pay — you might not get the same level of care afterward.
May 22 · Naomi GrayI love bringing my pet here, but the front desk never answer the phone and this happens every single time I call. I call about 15 times and never receive an answer. And when they put me on wait, they do it for over 20 minutes then send to voicemail! And if you leave a voicemail they never get back to you. How are we suppose to reach the clinic if there’s no structure in the front desk? You guys need to hire a front desk receptionist whose role is solely for front desk matters. I’m sure I’m not the only person who feels this way.

April 19 · Ashleigh RoseI took my havanese dog to this VCA animal hospital the day before Christmas, to have her severe matting issue taken care of I have tried so many different places to have her treated because she would get aggressive and was in pain from the matting they managed to sedate her and clean her up so nice she was a completely different dog she is so much happier and healthier now that she’s not in pain and I am so grateful to the vet who was amazing and I am extremely grateful to Andrew the Vet Tech he was supportive and kind with my dog he put all my worries at ease I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and I am so glad Andrew was there to take care of my dog. This was truly a Christmas miracle.Thank you
January 02 · Timothy VizzaAfter 5 years as a customer with multiple pets, I think it is fair to expect polite, reasonable customer service. Today I had a wellness check-up and vaccines scheduled and traffic was snarled nearby. As I pulled into the parking lot 10 minutes late, I received a call from the office. I explained that I had just pulled in and was parking but was quickly informed I was "outside the time limit" and they needed to ask the doctor if we could still be seen. The lobby was empty, all the lights were already off. I was told they would have to reschedule me to a later day. Let's be for real: it was Friday and they wanted to go home early. Was I late? Yes. Could they have still seen us? Definitely. It was shots and a quick wellness check. Will I be returning? Not a chance. The prices are higher than other vets nearby who have significantly less turnover with vets on staff. Between 3 different pets, I have yet to see the same doctor twice. I stuck with them for the clean lobby and prior general availability, after receiving a "welcome visit package" from the animal shelter where I adopted this dog. Now I know why no one is ever there... the snarky and rude dismissiveness of the staff who could have easily administered vaccines and scheduled a follow-up appointment was the last straw. They were not busy, and their posted hours claim they were open another 3 hours. Now I understand why the lobby is always empty.
