★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had a toe bean emergency with our chihuahua on a Friday (a holiday too) and were scrambling to find a vet to see us, as a new patient, before the weekend. They were willing to squeak us in right away and took such good care of our boy. He is usually aggressive in these circumstances but everyone did such a fantastic job making him (and myself) comfortable and he had a very happy experience all things considered and he was at ease by the time we left. Quick, in and out in an hour with meds and a collar of shame, and about half the price I was expecting to pay for a new client/urgent/after hours visit. Thank you all so much for helping our Scottie boy!
February 14 · Autumn MartinezPlease do not listen to that negative review!I have been taking my pets to this veterinary office for many years and it is by far the best! Dr. Sansoucy is kind, caring and extremely competent. All of the staff are great. I love taking my pets here because I know they will get the best of care.
February 11 · Gail LePine (GCL)Wonderful doctor and staff. Pricing seemed very fair for what they had to do. 2 huskies full of porcupine needles. Quick and attentive service. I will be back for less life threatening visits too.
September 19 · James Guzman IIPlease save your time, money, and pet’s health and do not choose this office for your pets care. When I brought my cat in for her first check-up with Dr. Sansoucy, I brought up a concern that my cat seemed like she was having a hairball, but nothing was coming out. She said it was nothing to worry about and to come back if it became more frequent. A few months later, it rapidly got worse and she was in severe respiratory distress, leading to a (very expensive) two day hospitalization. Turns out she was having asthma attacks. I assumed the vet misdiagnosed her, which happens. However, when I looked at her medical records from that visit, it said (copied directly from the record): “Discussed with owner next steps for evaluating Daisy to determine the underlying cause of her coughing, went through management of a cat with Asthma and how to reduces allergen in the house, doing this may help Daisy regardless of her diagnosis.” Never once did the vet mention that it was a coughing fit, or that she might have asthma. If she had, we would’ve taken the right steps to reduce allergens in our house and saved ourselves a $5000 emergency vet bill. It also says “owner declines bloodwork and radiographs today” but were never offered. There was another occasion where I asked for visit notes a few weeks after the appointment, and the front desk told me the vet was “behind” on her notes and had not finished writing them. Shouldn’t those notes be written at least the day of the appointment, if not immediately after? Overall, the office is very unresponsive and the vet’s records are very unreliable. I wish I was over exaggerating. I’m not normally the type of person to leave reviews like this, but I don’t want another pet parent to go through what we went through.
October 24 · Ness TabaruCaring and dedicated staff that did everything they could to ensure my cat was taken care of at minimal cost. A place where they care more about the animals well being not what they can get for money out of you. I HIGHLY recommend Hampshire Veterinary Hospital to anyone. Hours that work for emergencies and working folk, competent staff, caring individuals....what more could you ask for. Very happy with my experience and the lowest cost option without compromising the quality.
