Arrowview Animal Hospital Reviews
The veterinarian is absolutely wonderful! What would make it so this office got 5 stars? Better reception area staff. The lack of customer service is appalling. How hard is it to acknowledge someone in the line to let them know you are busy and will be with the shortly? Apparently pretty hard. They have a sign in the office that says they can refuse service to rude people but they don’t treat people kindly or with respect. Also, you must give 24 hours cancellation or you will be charged $20. Which the policy in itself is fine but I cancelled 21 hours in advance and still was charged. Which I think is petty. Will I return? Most likely not. Although I absolutely love the doctor, I’d rather go somewhere where I’m treated with the same respect I give.
August 28 · Teran ZappiaThis place failed our cat and broke our trust — please, if you love your pet, don’t take them to Arrowview Animal Hospital. We brought our sweet, injured cat to Arrowview after she suffered a broken leg, desperate to get her the help she needed. We trusted them — and that was our biggest mistake. They charged us over $800 to run X-rays, apply a splint, administer medication, and supposedly remove maggots from her wound. We were told it was just a dislocation, not a break. And shockingly, they never did a follow-up X-ray after applying the splint — something any responsible vet would do to ensure the injury was properly set. That was our first red flag. Two days later, we noticed something horrifying: live maggots still crawling around her wound. They had charged us to remove them — but clearly, they didn’t. We tried to contact Arrowview, but they’re closed on Wednesdays, leaving us no choice but to go to another vet. That second opinion changed everything. The other vet took one look and told us the truth: our cat didn’t have a dislocation — it was a complete break of the ankle. So severe, they said the leg needed orthopedic surgery or amputation, and that Arrowview should have referred us to a specialist immediately. They were so concerned, they wouldn’t even touch the leg. They did, however, do what Arrowview failed to do: actually clean the wound, remove the maggots, and give proper medication. More trauma. More stress. More money. Two weeks later, we returned to Arrowview for a scheduled splint change, hoping — despite everything — to get some form of continuity for our cat’s care. We arrived early, yet waited over an hour past our appointment time. During the wait, I overheard the front desk staff whispering about me while I stood right there. It was uncomfortable and humiliating. Then came the sedation charges — nearly $150 in fees just to sedate our cat, plus anesthesia “just in case,” plus reversal drugs. Total charges $250 and “could be subject to change.” Who charges for anesthesia on top of sedation just to change a splint? It felt like they were padding the bill rather than prioritizing our pet. Finally, when we were tired of waiting and went in to reschedule they told us “oh the doctor will see you now,” which felt completely manipulative. When we were taken back, we tried to calmly voice our concerns to Dr. Sarah Major. Her response? She cut us off, got defensive, and told us flat out, “If you don’t like how we do things, go somewhere else.” When we told her about the second opinion and tried to show her the X-rays, she left to get her tablet. As she walked out, my wife quietly said, “She’s rude.” The doctor overheard it, stormed back in, and told us she was done — she refused to continue care, told us to leave, and walked out once my wife pulled her phone out.As we walked out, we saw a friend in the lobby and quickly told them what happened. That’s when Dr. Major stormed out, told us to get out again, and tried to forcefully shut the door on my wife, pushing her arm and nearly hitting her in the face with the door. Then she threatened to call the police on us for “trespassing.” We were already leaving. So now here we are. Our cat is still in a splint. We’re back at square one — trying to find a vet who’s willing to take over the mess Arrowview left behind. Our cat has suffered. We’ve spent hundreds more. And we’ve been treated with nothing but disrespect, dishonesty, and cruelty.Arrowview failed us — and more importantly, they failed our cat.I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. If you love your pet like family — please, do not take them here. Don’t ignore your gut like we did. We saw red flags early on and gave them the benefit of the doubt. That was a mistake we won’t make again.Full video on the way on TikTok and YouTube! Please see pics!
April 21 · Frederick WrightThey did an amazing job with my super anxious Malinois Honey. I was so worried when she broke her tooth and although I didn’t want to leave her in pain I couldn’t afford $3,000 the other vets in the area quoted. Arrowview was very affordable to the point we got her tooth, spay and boosters done for not even half that. The staff was very kind and friendly, honey is now home healing and I’m much more at peace knowing I got her the medical care she needed. Thank you Arrowview!
July 18 · Mary ElizibethLow cost vaccines is the only reason this place gets 2 stars… maybe they need another vet tech to help administer vaccines because I’ve been here since 630am and it is currently 1035am with only the second out of 30+ people having been taken in for administration. I see myself being here until 12pm+… do yourself a favor and either schedule an appointment during the week and spend the extra $10 per vaccine unless you’re bringing in a whole litter of pets or just REALLY have nothing else going on and are bored and want to spend half your day here in the 90+ degree weather with people who don’t clean up after their pets so people just emulsify pet waste on the floor. Only reason I was here this early is because I thought it would have been faster, but no, all the scheduled surgeries on Saturday’s take up the whole entire time here… would definitely not recommend to get vaccines here on Saturday
August 30 · christian parraWe rescued this sick cat and brought him straight to Arrowview Animal Hospital. They shaved him along with treating his ulcerated mouth. He is doing amazing now. The staff at Arrowview is very attentive and has helped us save THOUSANDS of lives!
