August 29 · Dee MarineAMAZING SERVICE! I brought my dog Chuki in for an ear infection and wellness check/vaccines and everything went very well. This clinic is honest and they genuinely care, and I found it affordable compared to other vet clinics. Dr Kim was very gentle and helpful and the Tech Milene was honestly so sweet, caring and extremely helpful. I appreciated the way she explained everything with so much patience and understanding. I will definitely be a return customer. 10/10!
July 07 · Stefanie GarciaI took a while to write this, I feel like it’s important to share Eska’s(My Husky) and my experience here.I brought Eska here when it was still called Thrive(Petco)to get spayed and for checkups/vaccines. After Eska got spayed she started developing bumps on her stomach region which looked like cysts. I brought Eska in to Thrive(Petco) to get checked and the doctor was pushing hard for Eska to go through an invasive surgery to get the cysts removed.Firstly I didn’t feel comfortable putting Eska through that kinda big surgery, she was already old around 9 years old. Secondly the surgeries involved a lot of money and I was just a college student at the time.I ended up researching and pushed the doctor to do a cytosis(sucking the fluid in the cyst) for testing. The results came inconclusive. After some time Eska began feeling ill which I took her to Victoria Animal Hospital in Rancho. The doctor was very helpful there. He checked the cysts and said there wasn’t anything to worry about them, but that there was something much worse….Eska developed cancer, which at that time I wish we would have caught sooner. I felt that the doctor that helped me here at Thrive(Petco)pushed that surgery was the only option for Eska to get better. I DO NOT recommend this place from my experience and wanted to share our experience to pet owners.
May 07 · Jose RangelDr. Wilson was great. She was very thorough with her examination of my dog. It is hard to find a vet who takes their time to address all of the concerns I have. She treated my Luka as if she were her own dog. Very caring and professional. Lyna was also amazing. Very caring staff here.
June 09 · Jessica S.I will start up by saying that both doctors are very pleasant and we've had good experiences with both of them.I normally don't post bad reviews. That being said, the office policies and practices are unbelievable, and the reason that we will unfortunately no longer be coming to this Vetco. The other review from a year ago was right!! We scheduled two appointments for our 2 cats at 5 PM specifically choosing a longer slot a building our whole week around this visit given that I work as a doctor in an outpatient clinic and at times work 80 hours per week.Vetco sends a text to confirm the appointment with no mention that your timeslot will be given up if you do not reply quick enough to that text. They say they call but we don't have any calls missed. Additionally the text was days prior to the appointment - if we received a message this morning or at any point saying we'd lose the visit we would have replied. We showed up to our appointment 10 minutes early as instructed and we were told that not only had our timeslot been given away for one cat, but that they had unlisted the other cats appointment and were now too busy to see them. I have never been to a single office in which an appointment is unlisted hours in advance (they unlisted it in the morning they said) even if the patient arrives on time or early like we did.For example, at the outpatient clinic I work at I will see patients up until at least 15 minutes after their appointment time, sometimes later depending on their concern. The second issue is that while we had booked a wellness visit, they said that they would be unable to see this patient for a wellness visit because we had one concern - an itchy face. I doubt that most people who come for an annual physical have zero concerns at all. A heads up to anyone reading this - if you have any questions they will change your visit to a sick visit. The doctors here deserve a better clinic to work at, but in the meantime we won't be coming here again. I recommend Vetco at the very least clarifies their appointment confirmation wording if they don't want people leaving bitter and frustrated. This isn't the first time this has happened based on the reviews.
