★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My cat’s skin issue was misdiagnosed/mistreated by 2 veterinarians at this location. The 1st visit, I was told it was some type of infection. They gave my cat an antibiotic injection, and told me to use 2 topical medications to treat it. My cat’s wound started spreading rapidly once I started treating it. I took my cat back to Banfield, this time with a different veterinarian. They told me that he should be tested for ringworm. I asked if ringworm is the only other possibility it could be and was told yes. He was tested and I was told to keep using only 1 of the medications until we get results back, a week later. The wound continued to look worse and I had called to check on the results on the 6th day because I was starting to get really worried. I was told the results were negative, but to wait for the doctor to call me. I am still waiting for a call 2 days later. Thankfully, I decided to not wait for the doctor’s call and instead took him for a 2nd opinion on that day, and I am so glad I did. This new vet looked at my cat, and said it is not an infection, it is dermatitis. They did wound care (which Banfield did not offer to do) and sent me home with 1 medication that has significantly healed his skin in just 2 days. This experience brought me much unnecessary worry. After seeing how the new vet handled this issue, I am extremely dissatisfied and untrusting of Banfield. I cannot help but feel like I was milked for money OR the vets at this location are unknowledgeable. Please see the pictures. The first one is the day I took him to Banfield for the first time, the 2nd one is the day I took him for a second opinion, and the last one is how it looks now, 2 days after the 2nd opinion.
April 27 · Alyssa VallesThere so very good with my Lucky, I rescued her from a wonderful man who saved her off the streets of Los Angeles, he realized he couldn't keep her cause he already had cats and a backyard construction, I went and picked her up and I still stay in touch with the gentleman.Banfield took care of her and continues too. There so good and nice to her. Thank you for being so good to all animals and especially mine.
July 08 · Tina PackBest experience we could ask for considering we were taking our cat for what we believed was an emergency. All of the staff made us feel very comfortable leaving our cat in their hands for treatment. They told us to be there right before closing, but stayed open later because they were trying their best to get a urine sample from our cat.(she has a shy bladder) Not once did we feel like we were being rushed or any kind of inconvenience to them. Amazing customer service as well as excellent care for our cat. This will be the only place we take our animals for care.
May 13 · B MNot a fan of the drop off method. It’s a lot of unnecessary stress for pets and for an appointment that should only take 30 minutes why ask a client to plan their whole day around a call for pick up. I understand in an emergency/urgent care situation but don’t set regular appointments if the doctor isn’t available. I don’t appreciate being quoted over a thousand for all of these tests when my pet hasn’t even been seen.
July 17 · Alaina PorrI strongly urge you not to visit this Banfield location.I’ve been with Banfield for over 10 years and, until recently, had no complaints about their care or their Optimum Wellness Plans. Unfortunately, after taking both of my cats to this new location, I’ve had nothing but terrible experiences. When I brought my first cat in, the vet was completely dismissive of his medical history — and even seemed unfamiliar with FIC (feline idiopathic cystitis), which is one of the most common causes of FLUTD. I had to explain the condition myself, which is deeply concerning. Even worse, the vet told me a dry food–only diet was preferable, and that I shouldn’t be concerned about moisture intake until he’s older. This is not only incorrect — especially for a male cat with a history of urinary tract issues — but the complete opposite of what I’ve consistently been told by other Banfield vets.I then brought in my older cat for a routine dental cleaning and was suddenly urged to spend $900 on an unnecessary scan (after also already spending $500 on lab testing due to her being dehydrated). They claimed her labs indicated possible cancer — but she had a bacterial infection, which they would have known if they had simply waited for all the results. When I asked if all the labs were back at the time they pushed the scan, they assured me yes — which turned out to be untrue. When the scan showed nothing, they actually told me to bring her back for another scan the next day, “just in case she was bloated and that’s why the scan showed nothing”.This clinic uses fear and emotional manipulation to push unnecessary and expensive procedures — and they know most pet parents will do whatever it takes to care for their animals. To make matters worse, they’ve refused to communicate with me via email despite my repeated requests for documentation. They only try to call (which I’ve made clear I’m unable to answer during work hours), and I’ve even escalated to corporate with no response or resolution.Avoid this location at all costs. I’m heartbroken that I trusted them with my pets. If you care about your animals, please consider going to a local, independently owned veterinary clinic where you’re more likely to receive compassionate, knowledgeable care.
