Bond Vet - Park Slope Introduce
In the fast-paced world of New York City, finding a veterinary clinic that offers both high-quality medical care and a deeply compassionate approach is a top priority for pet owners. Bond Vet - Park Slope, located in one of Brooklyn's most vibrant neighborhoods, is an animal hospital that aims to meet this need by providing a modern, welcoming, and comprehensive approach to pet health. This clinic is not just a place for check-ups; it's a full-service facility equipped to handle everything from routine wellness visits to unexpected urgent care situations, all in a space designed to be calm and inviting for both pets and their humans.
The philosophy behind Bond Vet is to strengthen the human-animal bond through better veterinary care. They have intentionally created a different kind of vet clinic experience, one that is less clinical and more comfortable. For a pet owner, this can make a world of difference, especially when a pet is feeling nervous or unwell. The clean, calm, and inviting space helps to ease the nerves of both the pet and the owner, as noted by one grateful client. The staff, from the front desk to the veterinarians, are praised for their genuine kindness and for treating each animal with the same care and respect they would their own.
Bond Vet - Park Slope is an excellent example of a modern veterinary practice that leverages technology to improve the client experience, offering services like telehealth and a dedicated app. However, as some reviews suggest, a multi-location model can sometimes lead to inconsistencies in communication and service. While one client praised the seamless experience and compassionate care, another expressed frustration with follow-up communication and perceived lack of knowledge from a specific veterinarian. This highlights that while the overall model is designed for convenience and efficiency, the individual experience can vary. The clinic is well-suited for those who appreciate the flexibility of last-minute appointments and a hybrid approach to care, combining both urgent and primary services.
Located at 157 5th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11217, USA, Bond Vet - Park Slope is situated in a highly accessible and bustling part of the borough. The clinic is conveniently located for New Yorkers, with easy access via public transportation. It is just a short walk from the Atlantic Avenue - Barclays Center transit hub, which serves multiple subway lines (2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R, W). For those who prefer to drive, there is paid street parking available, though as is common in Park Slope, it can be limited.
The clinic’s commitment to accessibility is evident in its features. It boasts a wheelchair-accessible entrance, restroom, and seating, ensuring that the facility is welcoming and easy to navigate for all clients. Furthermore, Bond Vet is identified as a women-owned business, and it is LGBTQ+ friendly and a transgender safe space. These inclusive features contribute to a welcoming environment for a diverse clientele from across New York City. Appointments are recommended to ensure a smooth and timely visit, but their model also accommodates urgent care needs, providing a flexible solution for pet owners.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I recently brought my cat “Peach” in for a checkup at Bond Vet PS, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. It’s been a year since I checked her health so I was worried. The entire staff made us feel welcomed and cared for. The space was clean, calm, and inviting — which helps ease my nerves when considering a vet clinic. The veterinarian was gentle, thorough, and incredibly kind. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answer my questions patiently, and treated my cat like their own. She was so compliant, which surprised me. It was such a relief to hear that everything looked healthy and normal, but even more comforting was knowing Peach was in truly compassionate hands. It’s not easy to find a place where you feel that kind of trust right away. I left feeling reassured, informed, and very thankful. Highly recommend this clinic to any pet parent who wants their animal treated with real care and respect.
July 16 · Mikail HernandezPost appointment communication and responsiveness was terrible. I had to call 5-6 times after my appointment to get someone to follow up with my cat's test results. The doctor never called to discuss the results with me in the end- a staff member sent an email? So weird. The vet did not seem very knowledgeable about my cat's condition. I seemed to know more than him at the appointment. They charge for every little thing you have done there and always seem to need you to come back for more testing. I will not longer to go the chain/commercial vets. They are great for last minute appointments, but the veterinarian I worked with was no good. I have heard the doctors at the Astoria location are fine.
August 04 · ZariI am incredibly disappointed in the lack of communication from this vet. I have been taking my puppy here ever since he was born and at his last appointment, I was never called with the results. I discovered he was positive for an intestinal parasite via email. When I called to explain no one had ever contacted me about his results, I received an email back explaining that he should be okay because it seemed as if he was on the tail-end of it. Spoiler alert, he was not on the tail-end of it. I called back and they prescribed him medication which I picked up and finished two days ago. Now he's sicker and pooping blood. I will not be going back. This place is incredibly expensive and for the lack of follow-up it is not worth it. I will be going back to my old vet on Flatbush.
August 22 · JulieThe staff here is always so kind and accommodating! It is clear how much each of them loves and cares for animals. My cat is FIV positive and they always make sure his room is extra clean and sanitized before his appointment. Dr. Hayley Caldwell is awesome and always happy to answer any questions we have about our treatment plan both in the office or via email or the phone. The facility is very clean and provides treats and water for both the pets and humans who patronize it.
July 11 · Lia HauserVisited Bond Vet for our new puppy’s first wellness exam. Scheduling an appointment was easy on the website and I was able to find an appointment for the same day. Check in was smooth and the front desk employee that checked us in was very welcoming and personable. The pup was seen by Dr. Anthony Hill who was incredibly thorough and patient with all our questions, and so was the nurse that helped. The after visit summary was very detailed and included all the information Dr. Hill had described during the appointment. They also said we can visit the clinic any time to weigh our pup for free without an appointment. Overall very impressed by the process and our experience.
