★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our experience at VERG Brooklyn’s 24-hour emergency room was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with kindness and professionalism. The staff was not only polite and welcoming, but they immediately made us feel seen and supported in a stressful moment. The facility itself was beautiful—spotlessly clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully equipped with snacks and water for pet parents who are anxiously waiting. It’s clear they care not just for the animals but for their humans, too.The waiting time wasn’t bad at all, especially considering we came in for an emergency. Everything moved smoothly, and we never felt forgotten or ignored. One of the hardest moments was when I had to leave my baby boy behind to have his open wound re-stitched. It was heartbreaking to walk away, but the doctor took the time to sit with me, explain the procedure, and reassure me that he was in the best hands. Their calm and compassionate demeanor helped me breathe a little easier.I was both excited and nervous to see him again the next day—but mostly relieved, knowing he had received the care he needed.A heartfelt thank you to VERG Brooklyn’s 24-hour emergency team for being there when we needed you most. You helped my baby boy get the treatment he needed, and I’ll always be grateful.
May 14 · Saleisha StewartThe doctors and staff at VERG saved my baby’s life. They figured out what was wrong and got her in for emergency surgery less than 7 hours after I brought her in. The staff is wonderful, the doctors are wonderful, and the fact that everyone is so amazing and incredibly caring is heartwarming. She gets the best care at VERG, and I am so deeply grateful for the care she and I both get when we are here.
August 16 · Laura TrachtmanMy 1 year old puppy Indigo recently had surgery for an intestinal blockage. This was one of the scariest moments for me. Coming to verg made the worst case situation the best outcome. I will never forget how kind, helpful, and loving every single person was. The front desk, nurses, doctors, surgeons, discharge, and finance department all deserves a medal for their bedside manners. They really work case to case with each pet. Indigo is not great with strangers touching him and can be reactive. They let me pick him up a day early after his 2 day hospital stay because they knew he would recover better at home with me. That meant the world to me that I could go get my baby and he wouldn’t be scared. I will never forget the exceptional care we received here. I am a very anxious person and having the doctors explain everything so clearly really calmed me down. They are so compassionate and great at what they do.He has been recovering for a little over 2 weeks and is thriving thanks to the exceptional care verg provided. Please thank everyone from us. Because of you guys, Indigo is still around!
May 01 · mariel feyI took my cat to get checked out and splintered for a fracture on her back leg. The technicians were so attentive and made sure that my cat had a calm experience here. Out of all of the other emergency vets, this place had the best price point for us too.
September 04 · Sonia FigueroaMy husband and I have two very sweet doggos that had ingested lethal doses of vitamin d. This was by far the scariest thing we’ve ever been through but the entire staff at Verg were so kind and understanding, friendly and comforting, they made the journey so much easier. I had to visit the hospital almost everyday for a month and they did everything they could to keep our pups and ourselves comfortable as well as doing things the most affordable way while still giving excellent care. I just really want to shout to the team; Care and service starts before you even enter the door, no one wants to go to an ER vet but if I had to do it again I wouldn’t go anywhere else! The girls are just surviving they are thriving!
